well sunday i had a chance to fondle, grope (sp?), kiss...lick, oh and a whole LOTTA touching smelling ...gazing....i winked at it a few time and when i put it in 3 cubes sealed with 1 sundown 1500 @ 1ohm.....it was sex to my ear....i almost had an erection....i find myself rubbing it alot trying to get my rocks off....i let it lay on top of me....i should have made a porn movie it will be called "NITESHADE - WHO'S ROCKING UR DRAWS OFF?" I put it on the meter(tl mic).....and out the box and into a 3 cube sealed box withone saz1500 in the back of a 02 pathfinder ( sub facing back) it was able to do a 141 sealed at the glass on music....i belive i have that on video...i will upload it 2night and see wat i have .... but when we burped it ( sandbaggin like hell cuz we didnt want to push the sub being so new) the nightshade pulled a 142 sealed at the glass so based on the small test..i can honestly say in 3 cubes sealed it has the potential to bass race in the 139.9 class...which is insane for a sub that belongs in a ported box..... once this go's in a ported box...actually 4 in a ported clamshell. with 4 saz1500d with 4 kinetik 2400 in back and one stinger 1750 up front.....oh and last but not least...hifonics maxxlink....soon the pathfinder will be very very loud and so really good ...build log will be comming up be4 the end of the month.. 80 goal...to play music at 153 and burp mid to high 150's sealed at the glass

i just put a custom flowmaster exhaust on my mazda millenia...i went from stock 2inch to 2.5inch pipe and took the cat ouit and heres a vid of how mines sound...o i have the 40series delta flow....and its too loud..i have to change it to something quieter but still have that sound 80

hmmm...i guess making it alittle favorable 2wards sealed is a no go.. i have to put that nightshade in a ported box cuz in a sealed box it sounds really good and gets decently loud....but yea...make the nightshade a sub that only likes ported and 6th order bandpass boxes...and raise the efficiency 80

what about putting the coil more in the gap...i know that will lower the fs alittle bit. but based on wat u said ..... 4get the idea.....leave it alone...lol 80

It is. It's really almost unnecessarily strong for anything but ridiculous burps. For most people the Nightshade is really all they need Just to be clear - this driver will not be your best choice from Sundown for price to performance for under 2000 watts - that will be the Nightshade's territory. Improvements are being made to the Nightshades as well - they are a KILLER driver and will only get better. the only thing that will make the niteshade better is lower the fs without taking away the efficiency....and have it tooled so it can play in both sealed and ported ....other than that..its a great sounding sub 80

i will do better...i have video footage...i will post it 2nite dude i swear...this sub is off the chain...and i got word from a friend of mine ..the more they break in the louder it gets..and now im starting to hear wat he's talking about so im confident that this 1 sub in a sealed box with 1 saz1500d @ 1ohm will break 145 sealed at the glass on the tl mic oh not to mention...the amp was cold as my refridgerator...that says something about the amp 80

i agree do a 6th order... .rear chamber 3cubes tuned to 40hz with 50 square inch port plying into 5.5 cube front chamber with a 120 square inch port tuned to 75hz u should be over 146.6 off 1 sundown amp... 80
