ok..here's what i figured out.. these are external dimensions.. 15.5" tall x 34" wide x 18.5" deep port will be 14" tall x 3" wide x 25.1" long this will roughly give u a net of 3.5ft^3 tuned to 34hz. using 3/4" mdf mike, whatcha think? 00maxima, if that won't fit, lemme know...and let me know where it won't fit.. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee <{POST_SNAPBACK}> lol wow me and u got the similar results with a given space...but to be honest mrray...my design will give him alittle more output...my port is 48sq inch yours is 42sq inch...and its and inch shorter than yours...but we both have about the same total cubic space of 3.5...i'm impressed...what program do u use by the way...i use bass box pro 80 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> bb6p...lol.....ur also tuned a lil higher then i am...the output will be so close as to not matter a bunch... loud and low..the only way to go!!! mike...ur welcome! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee <{POST_SNAPBACK}> HELL YEAH.......ITS THE BEST 80

ok your specs was alittle off the box was actually 4.2 cubes...and thats using .75 inch of wood thickness. the port was tuned at around 60hz now i whipped somethin up so that u can have a box tuned in the mid 2 lower 30's the box is 34w(inbetween your wheel well), 16h..16d..these are external measurements ...internal cubes is 3.5... the port is tuned @34.28hz the port size is at the bottom(thats how u want it i'm assuming from your demensions) its 1.5h..32.5w...24d(u have 2 make a elbow port...if u have any questions let me know 80

i'll look into that right now

i see where my recommendation was confusing, i was quoting half the power but recommending the full enclosure..oops! my suggestion, since ur after a 70/30 split or so, with 1500wrms for the pair, is 3.3-3.5ft^3, 40-42in^2 of port tuned to 34hz. that will give u solid output while maintaining excellent sq. at the most, i'd recommend a tuning of 38hz..lil more output up top with out sacrificing all ur sq. oh yeah, that's a combined net volume..lol...and also what denim said.. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee <{POST_SNAPBACK}> WELL THE REASON I SAID 45HZ...BECUZ I TOOK INTO EFFECT THE RESONANT FREQ OF THE CAR...ITS GOING TO CHANG THE PERFORMANCE OF THE BOX......IF U PUT THE SAME BOX IN A FORD FIESTA YEAH THE BOX WOULD TUNED HIGH...BUT ITS GOING INTO A SEDAN SO THE IN CAR FREQ..IS LOWER THAN A COMPACT CAR....SAME AS A SUV...U PUT THE BOX IN A TAHOE..THE IN CAR FREQ..WILL BE LOWER THAN A SEDAN.... 80 JUST STATING MY REASONS ..I HOPE I DIDNT OFFEND

MAKE THE PORT 56SQ AND TUNED 2 45HZ 80

i tryed it and the results are not what i expected. the qts factor was ok i personally think the fs was high for that kind of application...but it works well in a bandpass..tuned at 55hz and a 1.25cuft. sealed box 80 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> UM I MADE A MISTAKE I DID A 12D2 INSTEAD OF A 15D2...SO WHAT GAVE WAS 4 A 12 ..HERES how the 15 worked in ported box of 3.54cuft. external and 2.946cuft. internal(box specs are 36w X 17h X 14d) ..port tuned to 31.6hz, (port specs are 15x2x24)the 15d2 went deep at high high spl...at 30hz it hit 133db's which is not bad i'm sure it can produce more once u put it in a car and the incar frequency start to take effect.. the power i supplies the woofer was 1000w...the only draw back i see is that it stays linear down to about 17hz...anything lower the suspension starts going beyond its xmax..but if put 800w to it ..the 15d2 stays within its xmax limit down to 5hz. 80 i hope this helps smackdaddy

well my favorite brands hmm this is good...i've been thru alot of different systems. i will have to say mtx for starts...the new stuff they coming out with i dont know ...but the rt2400x....that was my baby...i had 3 of them in a 91 ford taurus pushing 3 power dvc 12(yes the old fogates) and i 2 tell u the truth..when i played jayz- jigga what jigga who ...with the epicenter on...i cracked my windshield.... but anyway..i do like jlaudio personally 4 the money they asking is 4 the w7 is crazy but hey people pay 4 names over quality orion orion orion...my friend has 2 h215's in a bandpass in a 2001 chrysler concorde...being powered by the orion 2500d...and man o man...the bass is retarded...his volume was at 4 on his hu and i couldnt sit in his car memphis--very good stuff hifonics----hmmm i'm hearing mixed reviews...i heard the the xxzeus (1600w @1ohm) pushing 2 orion 12h2's and i must say hifonics gave me a good first impression...at that point i was going to try the bx1500...does anybody have an opnion about the bx1500...is it a decent amp 4 the money..does it put true 1500w @ 1 ohm...i have the money 2 buy it..i just need more reviews from folks who know good stuff when they hear it 80
