4 SSA Evil 18s 2 Crescendo BC5500s 7 Shuriken 16v batteries 158+ sealed on the dash on music idk the difference between a bass race and music how do you score a 149 in bass race but a 158 with music? i thought 155+ was bossy I will tell you the difference amigo Bass Race is a competition class. The objective is to maintain or come close to a 149.9 as possible without exceeding that limit while still trying to beat your competitor who is also competiting against you simultanously. It has nothing to do with how loud a system can get. The thing is, you want to compete in a class where you can FOR SURE hold that db mark over a period of multiple 30 second runs. It is very brutal on your system and gear. Lots of stress, lots of heat, etc. -
$450 amp budget, which way would you go?
Sencheezy replied to Truconcept's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I would say mess with the box first. Trying to improve what you already have. How are you even certain that power is the problem here? Have you measured anything? Have you done any testing? I have a feeling that you think you need more power when you have failed to maximaze what you already have. That is a major problem now a days. So quick to give up and say, oh needs more power. To add more power is fine, but with the power you already are running, you won't notice a difference of a few hundred watts. I would for sure try some testings and a few things first, before you throw in the towel and decide you need more power. -

I don't know what to say. Anything else would be beating a dead horse. OP, please, for heavens sake, don't judge a driver soley by its t/s. Those t/s are again, only at 1 watt, obviously, do you not understand how many things are effected in real world, past 1 watt? For starters, just about every single soft part changes its property values after 1 watt. And thats just the driver itself, not to include the environmental influences. I would most adhere to the members who have been here for a while, who are actually trying to help. I would simply advise to just take in what some of us are trying to say. It may be difficult to seperate the bad information from the good. But continue to stick around, and further your own research to come to your own conclusion. But where you previously stand, as of now, if BAD information. Also, you've yet to list any details about what kind of environment these drivers would be going in, what kind of power, vehicle, intentions, nothing at all. We can't help you properly without any of this information.

Sweet looking unit for sure. It'd be the one I'd get. -
I'd put a BC5500 on it if it was me.

lol, I don't know of any "sq" subs that are rated anywhere neer 3500, especially for daily. A sub that sounds good and can handle that power, well there are several. If you had the room, I would do a single 15" evil. You could also try a single 12" xcon as well. Or any other sub of the liking.

Heres a couple pics that Mark was able to snag for me.

pay the bills so I can use my new worked money towards the build. 5k$ for an budget could be broken the first night...
-
I spoke to Nick at SBN, subs are ready to built at any time, but are simply waiting for Neo prices to go down. It would save everybody money per sub. Neo is currently at like, 600% or something stupid, gold is cheaper to buy. But are projected to go back down to the normal 100% price within the next month or so.

First Week of Owning the SSA Evil
Sencheezy replied to Sencheezy's topic in Sound Solutions Audio (SSA®)
Yes it is! Yes, I will be building a burp box for comps. I will not be doing a 4th order. On a side note. I didn't do as well as I wanted down at SBN. I did Park and Pound 3 for MECA. I did a 121.7 6 feet away at 42hz, then the next day I did a 120.6 at 32hz. Talk about being flat -
Would just like to share my experience with the Evil in the first week of owning it. If you have any questions in regards to its performance or the like, just post a comment or question below. My previous setups have been, 15" SSA ZCON, 15" SSA ICON, 18" F.i. BTL ufo.
