Attaching a ported enclosure to a door that is well "padded" should be fine. oh so these will be ported then? looked IB in the pics. Not sure what technically these will be in. No, their not designed to be ported, but in the door, I suppose it's either a sealed enclosure, about 2cuft, or a leaky sealed. The 12s are mounted onto about a 3" thick wood ring, in addition to be wrapped in extremely heavy fleece that is then layed down with fiber. Then, the enclosure if mounted with several full threaded bolts on the back side to make the panel a once piece.

Eric Stevens HLCD's and10" B&C 4ohm midbass
Sencheezy replied to edouble101's topic in For Sale/Wanted
Would you be willing to sell the full bodies separate? -
There is about 8 mounts drilled in around the pod and door that will join the two together. The pod itself will absorb most of the energy.

I'm guessing music like this?

SSA Evil on 6,000 Watts, 12 Months Later
Sencheezy replied to Sencheezy's topic in Sound Solutions Audio (SSA®)
Yeah, the FOAD leads look awesome! haha. I wouldn't use those surrounds though, VERY different geometry lol. I had no issues outside of the lead. Hell, it still does a 144 with one coil lol. -

If you guys were wondering, I've been pondering this upgrade for quite some time. Obviously time and money is/will always be the biggest hold-back. The biggest reason why doing this, is to be loud, duh. But to also be different. Everybody else and their momma's has 6 tweets, 4 super tweets, and 4 6 1/2 mids in their doors. Yes, I've spent a pretty penny on my single mids, but if you add up the traditional route, or the common route as of late at least, you would come out just about the same. I've always wanted the loudest but yet, simplest system as possible. And I've think I've accomplished that. Because I have 2 horns (110 db sens, 2 mids(100db sens), and 1 sub(IIRC 91db sens). With the way things are configured now. The horns have about 100 watts to them at 8 ohms. The mids have 380 watts to them, at 8 ohms, and the sub will have 5800 watts, at half ohm.I don't know the exact pressure level just yet, that will be measured during the week. But non-the-less, if you ask anybody else who's heard my system, it sounds pretty darn good. I've always gotten compliments on how well the overall sound of my instillation is, and that's what I aimed for. The 12s will simply compliment what's already there, and I can't wait to dish out more demos!

Yeah me too Chuck! Man, just how I wanted, I know I've spoke my reasoning with you before. Haha thanks a lot Dexter! Yeah, he's a really good guy. He's essentially another mad scienctist like Shizzzon, except toned down a little to english language LOL! His name is Mike Smiley of Smiley Audio, anybody is more than welcome to hit him up sometime.

Chevy Sonic Electrical Upgrades
Sencheezy replied to slhendey's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Ok, a few of my recommendations First, buy a volt meter, that way you can see what state you're currently in. Next, upgrade all your wiring and their contact points (sand down to shiny silver lol) I would suggest something like 2/0 welding. Local price should be around 3$/foot picked up. Use that to do your big 3 upgrade. Fit the largest AGM battery you can under your head. And fit the largest AGM battery you can in the rear. I would suggest something like the Sears Platinum if you're on a budget. After those upgrades, and 1500 watts, you should be ok. also, you're not going to hear a difference in 500 watts. If you do, it's because the ratings of the amps are incorrect. Yes your alt will be able to "keep up". -
haha Thanks Leedogg! The glassing has started yesterday, and into today.
