Port flares for sale, 8" and 10" diameter pipe
Sencheezy replied to Adrian_D's topic in For Sale/Wanted
15.5" for mine. -
I was never given an eta and the pre-order button was replaced with an "Add To Cart" button two days later. That's why I'm trying to find out what the status is on the order. SSA was very fast with my second order, I'm impressed. That was a very fast turn around, But if there is no communication and the website says nothing about the amp being out of stock I wouldn't call a simple inquiry as to the status of the first order "harsh." If you spent over $500 on an order over the internet wouldn't you want to know whats going on with it? Mark and Aaron will respond. Yeah, I would rather just deal with this matter through email This has moved beyond what I had intended and I feel this forum isn't the place to discuss this or push for info on a personal matter/ order. My bad. My other order was shipped very fast and I have no reason to believe this order has fallen through the cracks. I'm sure the good employees of SSA are doing all they can to take care of all of SSA's customers, including me. I'm sure everyone is working at full capacity everyday considering how popular SSA must be due to the awsome products the online store offers with free shipping and the awsome knowledgeable community that is here. It's great to have your understanding. I'm sure all will be well sir.

wow, what a great deal! -
I would say to just test it man. Cut two holes, then find a way to block one hole while trying out the other. The only real way to find out.

Have you taken a look at any other subs? I've owned an Zcon, and they definately love larger enclosures / larger port area. So to answer your question more directly, I'd think you'd be better with an 12". Now, have you taken a look at the DSS Ethos sub? The 12" only needs 1.5 where the 15" only needs 2.5-3cuft. So, If you were to want an 15", that sounds like the best option, may also save you a couple bucks.

FML, just wrote an entire page just for it to be lost by clicking away. Long story short. If you are hurting for space, I would recommend the ethos. I say this because it was designed to excel in smaller enclosures, 2.5-3 cuft. With my personal experience, both the Zcon and Sp4 really enjoy large net volume and port area, at rms ratings. With your current enclosure, you can expect an peaky response from the zcon. And that box won't be ideal for the SP4 as it's designed for lower tuned enclosures, the more ground and pound vehicles, were tuning is at 28-31hz.

SSA has to check with nendo if i'm no mistaken, so try not to be so harsh on ssa hehe. SSA is always quick on their end, so I would imagine it's something out of their hand if it's taken this long. Also, with an pre-order, you have to take the ETA with a grain of salt also.

Nice job on the body man, I know that had to be an PITA. Sucks for what life throws at ya sometimes, no pun intended. And like the others said, it's not so much of the box being bolted down, it's the sub. I've owned one, and having it inverted like that, it's extremely top heavy. Glad to know you won't have it like that for the next build. Looking forward to more pics man. Looks like it's had an recone as well. What soft parts did you use?

Getting back into this, need suggestions

Fire both in, and seal form the trunk. Biggest box, most port area, is what I recommend for that sub. -
That's freaking insane
