And the the neg from the batt, to the chasis, okay, thats pretty ez, since there is already one there, and then the last one, your like, where da phuck duz dis one go??? To the frame of the engine block??? lol. I had that moment with my 96 explorer, so I can relate. But definately not worth taking it to a audio shop IMO, they'll charge you something stupid, and try and get you to buy something that sounds amazing coming fromt their mouth. well the thing is i already have 2 of the old ones, and i was going to add 2 more. have you heard them both? i just really want to know if they really do sound different, cause i really like how mine sound i was just looking for more rumble, and i dont want to have to mix my woofers Well they always say never mix woofers... They sound better then the old ones, but the difference wouldn't be drastic. They are adding something, only thing they take away is the weight of the sub, and that's a good thing Just curious, what exactly did they add? I believe in one of the other recent post, Nick or Scott said they added nothing different from gen 2 to gen 3. Same leads, spiders, etc etc... If what Fi says about adding nothing new, and simply taking away motor force, how is it possible to sound better then gen 2s? Does the motor make a difference in the sound quality? I thought all horse power equals all horse power, No matter how its produced. 1 = 1, no mater how you get there, its the same end result, thats just my opinion, not sure if its correct or not, please, enlightin me if I'm wrong, which I don't doubt it lol.

Don, What is the difference between your product and the many others out there? I am fully aware of your excellent customer service. But talking strickly product here, what can someone benefit from your product vs any others out there on the market? What is inside your materials that make it a better choice? What testing on these products can ensure us the consumers, that we are making the best decision when choosing your products vs anybody else?

Any body else care to share their thoughts or is this just a waste of a topic?

And I totally understand that. Which is why I wanted to reach out, on here (the best forum) and see what people had to say. And also, thats why I gave the circumstance of starting from scratch. Since most people usually have one of three things, 1. Cd player 2. Amp 3. Sub I know that the list I stated above, as well as yours, (watts09) will change under these conditions. Which is why I wanted to hypothetically create a list that I, or anybody else, could in general, follow. If the builder has 0 equipment, this could be to some help. For someone that already has a piece of the puzzle, they will probly start hoping around, so to them, this wouldn't be as much help, but would atleast point them in the right direction as to what to get/purchase next. And in the real world, I know that this might not have to much value, seeing as 90% of us buy as we go, and see new amps or subs that have cought their interest while their wer initially saving for something else. I understand that, but still, as for me personally, I am going to take a new approach and try to start from the ground up. Again, thanks for you guys inputs!!! And if you simply have no input on the list, then simply tell me/us, where did you start your build, and why did you start there? I'm curious because I'm willing to bet that atleast 70% of people, espeically new comers, start off at - 1. Cd player 2. Amp 3. Sub

yea I will probably add a second ALT or something. So far I have purchased 2 of my 8 subs(getting the rest on a pallet Feb 5-10th) I have a SAZ2000d right now but I am trading it plus cash for the 2 I bought 300$ worth of Birch Just ordered a Expert Pack of Stinger Roadkill (9 Sheets of 18x32) And my Pioneer 3200DVD is in the mail Box is getting built next week! NICE!

If I'm not mistaken, your gonna need that HO Output asap to be able to try and keep up with charging all of those batts. Even if they are beastly, their gna need a beastly Alt to keep up. This build is gna be sick tho! When r you gna get started? Has any of this been actually purchased or is all this still on paper? (baller lol)

Very good Q, I was wondering the exact same thing. Going through this forum, I have read that some people will have one HO Alt for their car itself. And then the other two or one HO Alt will be tuned with the 16v system. I think some people could benefit from this system has it would give the amps more wattage output if they can handle that many Volt. (I think) Hopefully someone will chime in.

Wow, you need to relax. Sean was saying to be more descriptive with your goals, and that we have taken the time to provide new member guidelines. These topics are in place to make questions or topics far more effective. In no way is anyone saying that anyone else needs to pick all out SQ or all out SPL. It is not about wrong terminology, it is about using a better narrative and not being trapped by generic terms that does not help the goal of the install. No one attacked you, only thing people did was try to get better background information to help contribute more effectively, and that is what is different about SSA, and why this place is far superior to most every other forum. If you took a moment to look around, of the member base, VERY few are actual competitors. Most everyone cares about great sound and performance in their car for their ears. I personally could not give two cents about what judges think, as I am against putting effort into anything that is subjectively judged when it comes to competition in anyway. Next, if you had taken the time to look around, you would have seen that many of the senior members on here are on the staff or are considered senior members because THEY have tackled things such as complicated theory, construction and many different design processes. We have dedicated staff members for higher level questions and challenges, we have dedicated sections for technical and advanced topics. It is very well organized and very good information that is extremely accessible. There are not pissing wars here, you have the wrong site. If you think **** is where you need to go, you have some serious questions to ask yourself. That site, the staff, the host, the lay out, and so on fails hard with a vengeance, anyone that has a clue in the audio forum world knows that it, along with a few others, sits at the bottom of the barrel when it comes to a quality forum that can be a resource. Calm the hell down, get your goals and priorities in order. If not, go hang out on a site that is counterintuitive, not beneficial and filled with kiddies that have minimal experience. ^^ This

^^ JW, is this a standard? Because I know a few companies try to point out that they exceed the "standard" thread count or what not, JW is this is just a marketing scheme or not? I"ve seen companies like RF do this with their wiring packages.
