I tried the same thing and it made it 100% worse lol. Some cars all run to the same ground, I know a lot of ford cars are like that. Personally I would make an independent ground. A independent ground from where to where? Seriously need help with this.

Ok so yesterday I got some more mail, and today. Yesterday I recieved my welding cable and jesus, this wire is unlike anything I have ever seen before. Even a 10 ft cut weighs a ton lol. Well here are some pics. Note* I also picked up some copper terminals, super duper heavy duty these phuckers are. The completed box... The wire is thicker than my fingers lol Ok, now for the story, opening the package for the terminals, I wondered, HTF am I gonna crimp these ? They are sooo thick, and just, seem unmoveable. So I found a solution, instead of ordering a 400$ crimper, I used some tool, (don't know the name), and a hammer. The pictures will help explain my method which turned out really great actually and I am very satisfied with the results. Heat Wrap, don't work so well with a normal hair dryer So I decided to double wrap And here I layed out the big 3 1 feet, 3 feet and 6 feet And a quick local stop to AutoZone I upgraded the terminals. Do have a problem though, the postive post of this daily battery is larger than the negative post. The problem this causes is that the new terminals won't snuggly fit on the negative post, so right now, its on there, but isn't tight at all (Yes thats what she said I know), so any opinion on how to fix this? In the morning, I will complete the big 3 withte positive run. Ran out of time today unfortunately Here is the ground I used, its the same one that Ford used. I just sanded down to the metal. And the package today was just my voltmeter that was already dead on with no need to calibrate Thats it for today

Got some more pictures to post today Began Very shiddy box build today. I've made some contact with DC Creations, I guess they have a lot on their plate ATM, so this box sole purpose was to be a fill in till their enclosure gets here. And then the new power cable showed up today, I'm very pleased The below picture is my attempt to fix this phreaking engine noise that I've been having. At first, it wasn't too bad, and then I set my gains by ear, and it was very present. So I shaved some paint for the ground of the amp, and done the following to the headunit with that wire sticking out to a ground behind the head unit and OMG, it made it even worse, so right now I have no idea what to do I'm guessing maybe I need to get another wire and attach the wire that is going around the rca's to the frame of the HU?? I'm not really sure what could help at this point. But, besides that, this is where I stand, I will probably run the new wire tommarrow, and through this shiddy box in lol

best head unit?
Sencheezy replied to RiottStarr's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
If you could please, inform us more into detail what it is exactly your looking for in a headunit. Because just like in anything else in this world, there is no one best thing for everybody. My best sex position is not the best for you (etc). -
Look at how many posts BigJon has hehe Just noticed your post above

Opinon needed on what reciever to get
Sencheezy replied to Sencheezy's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I love Alpine decks actually. But the only problem for me buying OS is that I'm kinda techy, and when you buy OS, sometimes well, their just not up to date enough for me unfortuantely as far as capabilities go for. -
Opinon needed on what reciever to get

Hey guys, I have narrowed it down to two choices. I was originally going to just buy any random HU until next spring when I start my serious build. But with news of x3 for holiday pay which is the entire last week of December working 12 hour shifts, that build may begin sooner. So this HU will be the HU in my vehicle for the next 5 years or so, I'm planning long term here. So the two choices are: A) Pioneer AVH-P4300DVD B) Pioneer deh p960mp I have been looking in this segment for quite some time, not too too in depth, but just looking around. I can get the DEH for 200, or I can get the AVH for about 320. Here are some key features that both offer that is really attractive to me. Pioneer AVH-P4300DVD: 7" Full color WQVGA (480x240) display with anti-glare coated LCD screenEEQ (Easy EQ) 8-band graphic equalizer with 7 selectable tone curves (5 Preset, 2 User)3 Sets of 4V preamp outputs (front and rear/subwoofer switchable)Navigation readyRear video output: 1 set of rear video outputRear audio output: 3.5mm mini-jack output Rear video input: Rear video input for rear view cameras with a RCA composite input,SD & SDHC Memory car slots behind the flip-down front panel8 - band EQ Pioneer deh p960mp: 24-bit Burr-Brown D/A converter for incredibly rich sound Supertuner IIID6.5-volt front, rear, and subwoofer preamp outputsEasy EQ, BBE, 13-Band Graphic EQ + 5 Presets I will say this, I am leaning more toward the AVH because of the screen mostly, being GPS ready, watching DVDs and which would leave growth to but screens in my headrests, the ease of putting music, vids and pics on SD card. But the reason I'm asking for suggestion is because I believe I would be getting the DEH at a steel. Plus, 6.5v output would give me lots of headroom when setting the gain to my amps. But I really have no experience with either which is another reason I'm asking. Also, my goals are not too extreme. With the DEH offering an 13 bang EQ, that may become overwhelming to me as I won't know how to setup everything properly as I'm no super tuner. So I'm just looking for some general input to help me decide and any comments would be greatly appreciated. Or, if you have another suggestion, please by all mean, budget would be right around the 330 mark, unless I find it worthy to cost more. -

sorry, already grabbed the dvd -
Thanks! More updates to come for sure They are a bit larger than normal, but atleast with car speaker adapters you have the option to dremel an opening where as these POS is just cheap plastic and aren't no where near user friendly. Thanks for the kind words Thanks Stefan, yeah, I like em, will be upgrading these as well, but curious to know how these will sound once sub is installed. Thanks I like them a lot. Especially with good audio recordings and DVDs. Sound really clean and loud to say the least lol, especially once I took the time to tune the amp. Very pleased plus the price was a bonus.

i do, but with our limited staff and current business it is a little hard to find time to get the pics up. We are still working on the website as well, so hopefully very very soon it will be fully live and have a large amount of current and old photos of our work. Sounds great. Can't wait

I remember seeing somewhere that new Garmin units come with lifetime maps updates for free too. If that's still the case it's worth looking into. A lil tidbit on those Garmins... They have been caught twice for selling your info to local authorities for setting up speed traps

Thanks Jon, I love your build

Seems I left out a few... Do NOT ever buy speaker adapter from Sonix Electronix, I would only recommend Car-Speaker-Adapter.com Ohhhh How I wish I could Put this on... (Aaron)
