Kind of fix my subwoofer problem(s), I put a new port in, tuned to 37hz now, and I have MUCH better results! Right now I'm back at the output of the icon, so moving forward lol. Once I get back in town, (In toledo, OH), I will disconnect the XEQ to see what results that brings me. For some reason, While in motion, the sub amp quiets down, then once I come to a stop, sub output increases about 20%, lol really weird. Also, the zcon was making a scratching noise at low and really high Frequencies, not sure exactly why, but just playing with the Master volume and sub volume of Xeq seemed to fix the scratching noise at low freq, and on the DVD, I have 3 xover settings for the sub output, 50hz/64hz/80hz, and so, when I put on 50hz, it seemed to solve that issue, I just got to match all the settings. Even though its crossed at 50hz from Dvd, it still plays up to where I believe I have it crossed on amp (80hz). But thats pretty much it, I will update once home again, had a few packages delivered

    i love the dcons but...

I now try to avoid the ladder of upgrading, I would suggest saving money and jump big, that way you can have the sub longer before wanting to upgrade

Thanks guys! Did a 38 flat at 51hz. I learned a lot again at this event. It seems I'm learning more and more at each event, which is the goal as well. My first run I actually did a 35. I still feel both of these scores are embarressing, as my goal with this subwoofer was between 43-47. But without ANY tweaking of any kind, it is litterally a much different experience. Now that I have been on both sides, it really is a difference maker. I felt going into this event was like, walking in blind compared to spend 5 plus hours of just tweaking prior from the last event. I may invest into a meter here pretty soon, not too sure yet. On my first run, I simply turned up everthing. On my second run, I turned HU volume to max, and 1/4 volume on master and sub volume on XEQ.

    Best wood for Subwoofer Enclousre?

It wont be a wall it will just be a trunk setup in my Yukon. All sides will be double baffled The side walls is what I was refrencing to. If this is the case, Yes, birch would be my wood of choice. So your saying since I'm double baffeling Birch would be more louder than double baffleing with MDF? First off, what is the setup? You may be over thinking/killing this whole process. If doubling all layers, yes, I would chose birch over mdf. Why, because double birch vs double mdf in sound difference would be un audible, so why not save the weight.

I don't believe theres a *best* in anything really, everything has pros and cons. I believe that birch isn't as dense as MDF, which would be one of Birch's cons. How many layers will you be adding? (walls)

    Opinion on new sub stage?

That 350 can go a long way. Hell thats almost how much I payed for an zcon. You should shop here on the SSA store for products would be my suggestion.

    Opinion on new sub stage?

Not that RF is a bad choice, but just curious in reasoning. Will you be buying retail?

    mounting options?

to answer your question, yes, you can mount an amplifier upside down, it won't get a head rush But would I mount it to the roof? No. Sounds like you have a plan, but still wouldn't be my choice. Do you have a false floor? If so, is there any space below that? How about at a 45 degree angle from top of enclosure to the back side window? Is there any space at the bottom of the enclosure against the rear seat? Any room under the rear seats? Pictures with box in from different angles would be amazing right about now
