    Leviathan question

haha nice. I mines as well sir
  3. Hello and Here are MY answers for the questions you have asked and are IMO. My first question is how many fuses should I run throughout setup? No fuse from batt to batt, you can if you'd like for extra safety, Also, if not already, I would recommend matching batteries. You will then want to fuse from batt to amp(s). If you are going to use a D-block, you want to fuse both leads from DB that Distrubute to the amp(s). So that will be 3 fuses in my setup. should I run this 18" from the battery {front duralast, or trunk yellow top}, or should I run a 200amp ANL at each battery? answered above distribution block, should this be fused? Answered above If so how big of a fuse for the AB output, how big for the 4 channel output? Check for manufactures specs Should the capacitor be fused also? Remove Cap Should I upgrade the big 3 to 1/0 gauged as well? yes The wire I am looking to buy is http://www.wireandsu...0-fslash-01.htm , will this do or should I step up to http://www.wireandsu...0-fslash-01.htm ? I would recommend visiting weldingsupply.com, if your on a budget, I would ebay any 0gauge wire kit. High output Alt- Is 200amp enough or should I go bigger? For your equipment, yes, if you are going to upgrade your system in the future, I would recommend buying the most of what you can afford. Take a look at mechman/dc-alt(not a fan)/singer alternator/ohio generators Power/Ground Wire weldingsupply.com (search "cable") Fuses I have always like the fuses that come with AudioPipe equipment Wire Connectors Take a few looks at this thread Distribution Block Darvex.com has some nice ones Hopes that helps man. LMK if you have any other questions

    Leviathan question

Wow really! That would be 4ohm ratings correct? So I'm assuming 380 x 6 @ 2ohms I'm really impressed with them. Even though the equipment that is installed in atm is no SQ quality, but I can definitely tell a difference haha. It no longer uses burr-brown tech, something newer, can't remember the name, would have to look at the manual again. I can hear elements of each instrument unlike I've ever heard before, its amazing.

    Decaf music

Yeah IIRC its all in the SMD payed section lol. I'm curious to hear bassboy's tunes as well though!
  7. Well thanks for that info Brad! Wow, very interesting, so it has been done before, thats cool. Yeah I guess it was really a successful technique in the Car Audio world since I haven't really seen it around before. To me, at first, I thought it would be nice to clear up all of that clutter, the footprint that multiple RCAs have on any given install. Which was my main interest in the technology.

    Leviathan question

Bromo you wouldn't happen to know the power differences would you by any chance? I have the v3 but was curious if there was any performance difference from pre-models. OP, I LOVE the L3! its amazing, and as stated, the boards are a quick way to tell the difference between L1&2 vs L3

    Product Listing?

I was just wondering if you guys could maybe list all products that are immediately available and pricing on each item as well in the meantime while the new site is being worked on. I always recommend the products but can never show locals the products without chasing down build logs which can be tedious while mobile and on the fly.

@Swift, No not yet, I dropped off my Pioneer off to a authorized Pioneer repair center thought last Thursday. So its been a full week. So this is good news, I hope. This, to my guess, means that there was something indeed wrong with the unit. So maybe waiting on parts or something? I was hot swapping the RCAs many times during this installation and troubleshooting

Ok, so here a decent build update, hope you guys enjoy. I started yesterday(Thursday) at 6pm and it is now 9:20 (Friday). Wasn't a lot of work done persay, one job, but just involved a lot of time that I really haven't had lately. I'm dead beat right now though lol, covered in saw dust and sticky glue fml. Well what I did was flatten my false floor to be flush with the rest of the cargo area, I wrapped it in the same material as my box, cleaned the interior of car, I ran cable under the false floor and mounted both amps. Here are the pics. I used these blocks to level the false floor. In place, one on each side and two and the far ends of the hatch side. Stacking them prior to above image Here are a few imaged of what it looks like underneath. Good amount of area down there, I will be utilizing this area later on Amp guts of the Aq 1200 Installed mounting feet of the ZED Floor wrapped in Pleather from Hobby Lobby Floor installed Most wire ran Amps installed VERY tight fitting on all wiring Another view Not so blurry version No wires are visible with seats up Anotther angle of the amps, rear passenger door Notice it is now light out >.< I love this photo here, ZED and Got Port? Notice how flush it looks!! And of course the Z And thats it for this update, overall, I am VERY pleased with the results. The thing that inspired me to do this was, well it was messy, but also, I am a new member of my first car club! Project Mayhem of Nashville. So now the new challenge while competing in MECA will be to be loud AND looking good while doing it Thoughts?

haha thanks! A huge improvement for me over the monoprice. Although you will never be able to beat their price, they just weren't right for my application. But these bad boys really bite onto the female connectors and I love that.
  22. Sorry sean, didn't mean to make you upset, was just wondering why or why hasn't it been done before, I suppose your input helped. haha, ok, will steer clear of that one.
  23. Haha yes, if the amplifier did not gave onboard processing, then this would be a bad idea, but in my example/idea, it is built in.
  24. Interesting... The Optic Cable I currently use, has NO wiring inside, it is simply a clear tube, where the light travels by reflecting from the interiors material. Its nothing fancy, just an Optic Cable from Wallmart. But I've dealt with better ones before, the image I posted actually. I do believe that it is rather easy to deal with. Don't see how one could mess it up, no different than running RCAs in the handle/care aspect of it.No conduit needed, as you can observe from the image I posted, it has its own shielding just as an RCA cable would, and is flexible. Not 90 degree flexible, but maybe that could be another draw back sure, for those who run zig zag wiring. Cableguy, In my idea, the source would be the Head Unit, and then the processor would be the amplifier. So in this scenerio, there is no need for multiple transmitters as you described from earlier correct? Since the processor(in my case, the amplifier) would decode the signal, right? lol
