Mine is in LNIB sir. Only a few mounting scratches and such. Pictures can be be found on page one of my build log. -
Lower ohm load, so yes, his voltage has dropped more, no settings have really been altered at all. The gain was lowered slightly, but not make much of any difference.

no How else can he use his ears to listen to the speakers? Unless someone has the speakers he is considering already installed in there vehicle the next place is stores. Please correct me if I am wrong. As stated, its a different environment, so what you hear at Best Buy will be misleading.
