Thoughts on going 100% digital media in car
Sencheezy replied to Sencheezy's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Ohhh, ok, I see what you mean. Are you thinking, like, 32 bands of eq? lol, A bit over my head with that much tinkering. Not that I don't want to, its just intimidating to me for some reason lol. The roads in NY, are extremely crappy lol. Kind of off topic, but I wonder if there will EVER be a solution to the madness of traffic up in that NY/NJ area. With traffic flowing constently, its impracticle and basically impossible to ever reschedule downtime for road work for expansion, and even if that was ever manageble, theres only so much to grow since most of those building are physically limiting the possibiliity of more road space. There are some high end HDDs that are design for impact shock absorbant. Came across a few in this search of this carputer. Going the double tablet route would definately turn some heads though. The idea that came across my mind, was placing some kind of personal table per seating. Some ppl have already done this, but like you said, would be a wiring nightmare. Not so much for independant use, but to have it simultaniously sync with the "brains" in case of wanting to show off all screens from one feed. *sigh* -

lol, did you look at the post I made? This unit DOES have a processor. And thats the final price they are aiming for. I myself wouldn't mind going tablet, I'm just not so sure about having to get somebody to glass it in to look flush. I wouldn't dare try to do it myself. SSD's can be very difficult to restore if music/media was to be lost, and can be very expensive just to even attempt. With current HDDs reaching upwards of 10krpm, I think it would be the most redundent way to go if that was your choice. -

Seems about the same.. Didnt have it up to loud though since its so cold... Hmmm, I would imagine that you will be able to play longer, and get more out of her on short burst. -

Gingerbread....no thanks. I'd rather go the rooted tablet route. Rumor is it will support 4.2 IIRC -
Just to give you an idea, here in this video, I am playing - Asking Alexandria: The Final Episode. It is not exactly dubstep, but there is some mean double bass in the song. I recorded it so that you could see that the ZCON had no problem keeping up with the bass, with an amazing impact. I am using 1 ssa zcon and 1 CA BC5500. Unfortuneately I don't have any recordings of my Icon playing dubstep, but it played just as well. That is the video, sorry for the crappy recorder, was using the HTC EVO.

That's hilarious. Better drink up before the show. Way ahead of you. A friend of mine brought in some awesome apple pie moonshine for me for Christmas. Very tasty, and very strong. 120proof strong, or 180proof strong?

Ok sweet. I know that db drag and MECA will be doing shows together here down in TN, which is sweet because I really enjoyed db drag when they came down here. -

So much fail... OP, we are not trying to affend you in any kind of way. We are truely trying to steer you in the right direction. Just by listening to some of the things you are suggesting, and mad methods, it sounds like ghetto riged every where. No to be so harsh, but bro, seriously. I highly advise not placing those tweeters back there. If money is the issue, than sell what you have currently, and buy something else. OR, just wait until you have the right amount of money to upgrade the right way. You have to understand, certain drivers are designed to only play certain frequencies. If you splic your tweeter with one of your door speakers, that means the same signal your door speaker is getting, is going to go to your tweet. THAT is what is wrong with youre idea. You don't want your tweeter to play those lower notes, AT ALL, especially at high volume. As it will only result in spending more money, and most of all, abusing equipment that will fail due to user error. No matter the cost of the driver(s). I will create a list of suggestions. Sell current and all speakers/tweets Then you could buy two sets of these www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?partnumber=269-097 Then you could power them with this http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?partnumber=269-188
