i dont follow your logic. your saying that my box ( a jack hammer) is the best place for an amp. im going to try something else, it sould work much better.. . maybe some VLM would help under the mounting surface. I'm not saying your box is built wrong because I don't know. But if you make the top as strong as the front baffle that would be the best place for an amp. Well you can't with nothing hooked up right now but you should try a water bottle test sometime. I can bounce a half full water bottle off a dumpster from 30 ft away, and at the same time I can carry that same water bottle over and put up against my baffle while full tilt and there is hardly a ripple. If the top of that box is as strong as the baffle you won't find a better place to mount it. I will stand behind that, don't believe me. Grab a half bottle of water and start placing it around till you find the best place. If its Not your box, rebuild. I would second this as well Jon. Using the exact same testing method. The box that Swift built for me, I can place a water bottle on the box, and barely, and I mean barely a ripple. Hell, even in a previous video I recorded a little over a month ago, I place my cell phone on the box to record the subwoofer surround, and phone stayed place.

Nice vids!! Keep it up man.

With coils in series for 3ohm you will be around 1100w from the amplifier, which is fine for the W7. Do not worry or concern yourself with so-called "impedance rise", pretend the previous poster didn't mention it. Agreed.

I was so confused!! Haha, I like it though, need a darker skin for sure! Great job on always pushing things forward!!

Quoted from FB** " I just wanted to throw this out there for you guys. This is Senchez enclosure in winisd. You can see where the response peaks out at about 40hz in winisd, and it is a bit different then the response modeled horn resp, but for the most part Horn resp and Winisd agree with each other. You can also see two very slightly different blue curves. The dark blue curve is the enclosure modeled with one vent... at 128 square inches. The tuning comes out to 33.05hz. The light blue line shows two separate vents with a sum of 128 square inches and a tuning of 34.3hz. That is a difference of 1.25hz. I have to consider these things when designing enclosures for people, but for this and many other reasons, I don't like giving people some "exact tuning" frequency down to some hundredths of a decimal. It is absurd to do so."

Please contact Josh at http://www.facebook.com/#!/josh.w.hart or http://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/449888281732464/ and PLEASE tell him I sent you! He is truely a great guy to deal with. I was sent to him from Duran. He responds very fast, and is easy to deal with. He has just finished up my design for my 18" SSA Evil and really went above and beyond my expectiations. This is not just any ordinary designer who build an enclosure around your limited space. He actually aims for your goals and utilizes your intended goals into every aspect of the enclosure. When you message him, I would suggest to include any additional information that you may think that could help the design process. For example, I told specifically what frequency range I am really concnerned with or what response I am looking for. I told the characteristics of my vehicle, genre of music I listen to, the amount of power utilized, etc! Here are the results of my enclosure. 8.3 cuft Net tuned to 33hz 128cuin of port Pictures!

I started one but it got jumbled so im gonna do another & keep it organized. I got tons of pics from the build. Get them pics! I was really expecting some 55s from the build quality of your ride man, must be tuned low? I really missed out on getting a demo.
