I think you guys are missing the big picture. The pot holes are due to a general lack of road repair and maintenance. Trust me, I can show you roads here that look like Thing stomped through at ANY time of the year.

Hey guys, We had a little meet-up today in San Marcos... just a few people including myself, Jon, Alex (inkfx) and Hugo (onebadmonte). Did a few TL runs, attracted the attention of a kid who drove by and tried to sell some Kicker subs to Jon (thanks btw I still have a slight headache haha). Scores (Correct me if I'm wrong): Hugo - 135.8 ? Alex - 139.6 Matt - 143.1 Jon - Umm.... technical difficulties?? lol! Loud as hell but the TermLab wasn't registering it for some reason

I think you might have the wrong idea... this is just a user run event, SSA is in no way affiliated or involved in our meetups, just a group of guys/gals who have an interest in car audio and network over the SSA forums (hence the title - SSA meetup). Sorry if that was misleading... Of course! We are all here to help each other. Any age welcome, I brought my 8 year old brother last time and he had a blast. Depending on where we have this meet at, it might be a little hot for small children (I'm assuming that's why you are asking) as we usually find ourselves in a parking lot or field, somewhere where the Violent Bass Air won't disturb people.

I think Fi Q's would do everything you're looking for. I'm running them in a ported box, they are hella loud... but when I want to keep them tame I can easily kick the gain down a bit and they blend right in with the softest and most intricate music.

Sorry to those who find it difficult to make it... we loves yous guys and appreciate the support for SSA and car audio in general but we don't expect you to drive halfway across the country to make it (unless that's something you're into). Maybe you guys could host a MidWest SSA meetup for example, I know Chop and a lot of folks live out in Indiana not too far from WI, maybe you could find some middle ground there? Just a suggestion. Although if you could make it then we would love to have you! You're thinking of that Target parking lot. The McCoys he's joking about, the first meeting spot last year, we were there about 5 minutes and a gang of 9-10 rednecks walked out with an ass-kickin' look on their faces.

As most of you may have noticed... YouTube recently switched to a new layout which many people including myself find to be confusing and utterly ridiculous. The description is hidden by default... the rating system has gone from a sensible 5 star system to a simplistic and absurd thumbs up/down system... button layout is asinine... comment section, really, is there anything I can say about that?? Suggested videos on the right now seem to pop up by related keywords rather than related content... which means no more "surfing" YouTube getting a healthy variety of content, what you type is what it suggests... It's more than "getting to know a new layout", it's having to deal with a makeover gone horribly wrong. Like those people who go to Mexico to save a buck on a boob job or lipo, and come back horrendously disfigured? Yeah, it's kinda like that. You were pretty enough before, sweetheart. And that's my two cents. Whether you're a casual surfer or a seasoned pro submitter, drop in on the link below and add your hat to the pile.
