Thanks for the kind words Edgar I hope I helped your decision out a bit! Yeah Jon, Edgar's gonna ride up there with me on the 27th (Or is it the 29th?) I think one of my crossovers is going bad because I had melted them slighty after I forgot to disconnect the Inputs when I unhooked the speakers. They were working fine, but after I gave that full volume demo yesterday the left side tweet and mid sound scratchy and muddy so I'm taking it easy until I can order a new set.

Ok I will get a better quality vid up soon Oh and for the record I don't like Mike Jones but that song just has great bass!!
-
Very true Jon's trunk is a little bigger and he has sort of a shelf near the back of it and mine just kinda chokes down from the wheel wells! Every car is different... sorry if I missed that but what kind of car is this going in Dr. Q?
-
Right. I ported my rear deck as well though and it made a HUGE difference. I was going to put pics in the first post but I forgot: This is how big the box is... The port I cut in the rear deck This is how I originally had it.. you can clearly see the bass doesn't have much room to escape = bad output

Pics of finshed setup?? -
Well the problem I had with my enclosure was that the bass was getting sealed off with the subs facing backwards... the trunk was taking a beating but hardly any sound was reaching the cabin. I solved this by turning the box around to face the cabin, and I've been planning to seal it off somehow but I haven't had the time to try that... Oh, and for the record... put the Q in a ported box you will be very happy... I am running 2 15"s and the sheer output is amazing, and they sound great on music... let em breathe! I should have some vids up soon.

When you say grills/coverings you just mean something to hide the actual speaker right? You can do it a number of ways... get a pre-made speaker grille, stretch grille cloth over the speaker, build something out of mesh, etc. etc. You can check out what I did with mine, don't know if it will help you because I didn't put grilles on mine (the ID grilles looked very out of place in my car) http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...24202&st=45 Good luck!

x2... I get many ideas in my graphic designing by downloading large font packs that have varied selections of fonts in them, you can pick up a program like Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro (my personal fav) and read a short tutorial on how to use either... you'll be rife with ideas in no time!

I was driving along today with the bass up, and my freakin rearview mirror explodes! The trim ring that holds all the innards in place spontaneously flies off at me and the mirror assembly just falls out... at first I was like and then I was like :bigclap: lol Simple fix just need some glue -
Crap dude that sucks I'm sorry! I didn't know stitches could be rejected!

But I would love to have that year Eldo man... my dream is to have a Caddy convertible (a late 50's would be better but out of my price range anytime soon lol)
-
Yeah but it's like a train wreck - against your better judgment you just gotta take a peek (even if it's through your fingers)

It's healing up fairly well! My fingers look like something out of Resident Evil though! ***You know the drill, click at your own risk, c'mon you know you want to *** http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj215/C...090222-2113.jpg

Anyone ever been reading a forum post or something, click a link to Youtube, watch the video, notice the related videos so you watch them too, and before you know it like an hour's gone by and you've gone from sub flex videos to car crashes to fights to midgets brandishing cattle prods etc. etc. etc.? It's like a black hole. / $.02

Ouch man! Injuries FTL Take care of that tongue man, and get well soon! And x2 on the grievous injuries forum

Yeah they told me that the point was for the fingers to stay moist, and that they would get all wrinkly and stuff... I double checked with them yesterday and they said the bandages need to stay on pretty much 24/7, except to clean them out. Thanks for the advice guys
-
Well, it's healing I think... are they supposed to look like this? I've been changing the bandages twice a day, washing them off and coating them with Neosporin. ***WARNING: GRAPHIC IMAGES, WEAK STOMACHS LOOK ELSEWHERE*** http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj215/C...95/DCP_0067.jpg http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj215/C.../DCP_0065-1.jpg

This year has started off really hectic but I finally finished my pods, so here we are! A few wrinkles, vinyl is so hard to work with! It's ok, they add character Had some chrome left so I used it up Custom badging there too And a little something only Texas boys would understand -
Yeah, even after he stabbed my hand about 5-6 times and pumped it full of lidocaine I could still feel a few of the sutures he was putting in... I have a pretty good tolerance for pain but that ish did kinda sting lol I was telling them about that thing... very cool device. However, I work in a small aircraft composities business who has trouble making payroll on time, let alone investing in some equipment like that... the saw is dangerous anyhow. The table is chipped and splintered in many places which will cause your material to catch. I knew that thing was a disaster waiting to happen.

Yeah they gave me these silicone tube things to keep them moist, she told me to change them out and wash them 2-3 times a day. I guess they're not supposed to get any fresh air yet?
