Infinitely Baffled or Just Plain Confused

True I heard bread loaves and other baked goods have a natural resonating frequency of 30Hz which will improve the bass output by a minimum of 14.668 dB

    Good car for bass!

That's the magic word right there and something that's really difficult for everyone to come to a consensus on... Honestly, I would say we can shoot for sometime in June again, that gives everyone a few more months to tighten up their setups. Have to get a date as many people can attend as possible though. And then we need to find a location... we ended up moving a few times last year before we finally found a nice dirt field to park in, that was in San Marcos. I wouldn't mind driving to Austin if there was a good spot we could all meet up at.

    Very, very strange

Well, they do say that children have a heightened sense of such things; whether this has to do with the structure of the brain at that age or simply the lack of biased adult opinion towards such things I do not know I agree with you to a certain point that the tendency of the human mind to 'overthink' and exaggerate during times of stressful events can definitely play a role in the memory of such events, we all remember seeing a scary movie as a kid and afterwards having that eerie feeling of somebody watching you. Hell, I still get it sometimes lol! Such is the power and complexity of the human mind though, to think. You think, therefore you are! It's what makes us such a kickass species However, getting back to the original point, it's harder to explain away such things as premonition-dreams as coincidences when they consistently turn out right, or happen to large groups of people. I mean, closed-minded skeptics will always try and argue the point but there's no helping those people. And the scientific community has tried to explain the idea of sleep paralysis away as simply a physical reaction... here is a WIkiPedia article if you're interested... sure, they can tell you *how* it happens, that such and such part of the brain is firing neurons to blah blah blah but they can't tell you *why* it happens. Of course, after all anything we do, see, smell, taste, experience in this world is a matter of physical science. We can map out the entire brain and see how every pathway connects, how every emotion is created and transferred through our minds, but science can't explain why we experience such events and any attempts they make to dismiss such complexities away as simply a matter of evolution and natural selection I find to be ridiculous. Speaking of the power of the human mind... have you guys seen that episode of Mythbusters where they tested the so-called "psychic ability of plants"? I laughed at first but got to watching it... they hooked this plant up to a polygraph and had Tory sit there and think about hurting the plant in various ways... something like 35% of the time the plant reacted to it. Really interesting, albeit strange experiment. lol

Ah... just schooled myself on YouTube about the entire process, lol! Don't get me wrong...I would get an iPhone, they are really neat little devices... but for one, the damn thing's still so expensive (not even talking about the 3GS here!) and secondly, the thought of breaking one contract just to jump into another frankly scares me right now. I mean, the apps are cool and all don't get me wrong, but that's why I got the Storm in the first place was to use apps, and I ended up just using it for calls, text, pics, email, and browsing. Basic smartphone stuff. So I'm thinking I don't really need one. Plus, I just traded one of my buddies an 80gig 5G iPod video that I had laying around for his 8gig iPod Touch so if there's any really killer apps I want to get I can still download from the app store . The one feature I really loved that I got to play around with on my friends iPhone on a trip, was the Maps. I am an idiot with directions and that thing makes it damned near impossible to get lost. the iPod Touch has this too, but alas you need to be around a wireless hotspot to use any of those features (in-car wifi anyone?)

Plus, I enjoy the zoom effect when you hover over an icon, a blind bat like me needs all the help he can get I believe something like that should've been integrated into 7 from the get-go, like the Macs have, but I guess enough people know about it now that it doesn't make a difference either way. That says something for the resourcefulness of Windows users, we can usually find ways around Microsoft's shortcomings

or just fold the seats down? haha Hehe yeah if that option is available by all means that's a lot easier solution lol! Forgot about that

    Good car for bass!

I've heard the same about hatchbacks, just from the nature of the design... trucks get pretty loud too (both SUV's and single/double cabs) the main challenge with sedans and the like is getting the air pressure effectively into the car... if this means cutting a hole in the rear deck, or removing the rear seat sheet metal support and welding in smaller braces, by all means do what it takes

What, TMobile has iPhones? What are the details of your plan like minutes, text, pix, etc etc if you don't mind me asking?

Yes it's rare that you can find a person to discuss topics like paranormal happenings, afterlife, origin of man, alternate dimensions & universes, aliens, mindpower, all that fun stuff you all know those conversations can go on for hours and it's really interesting to hear others' points of view.

    Very, very strange

It was the strangest thing, I was just wondering exactly what the hell I did to piss off a spirit... lol! The only time I've encountered paranormal activity in the waking world, I was working the overnight shift at my old aviation job watching the oven... all the lights were off down the main hallway, adjacent to the oven. I got up to stretch my legs, and something caught my immediate attention and caused me to look down the hallway. Out of one of the middle rooms, I saw a head with shoulder-length dark hair peering out at me. Uncontrollable goosebumps began from my arms all the way up to my neck causing my hair to stand up... I really couldn't believe what I was seeing! When I mentioned this to some of the older guys there, they told me it was the ghost of a man named Mark, he worked there a few years before I started. Apparently he planned on proposing to his wife, but he had a few too many beers and when he jumped on his motorcycle to go home, he fell off causing massive internal bleeding. He was so intoxicated that he got back on his bike and shortly after that fell off for the last time and that's where they found his body. They described him as a short Hispanic guy with long black hair! He is a prankster though. When working at night, we've had doors open and close right in front of our eyes, every once in a while all 8 phone lines would go APESHIT and start ringing all at once, only to stop a few seconds later. Chairs rolling around... one guy claims he felt a finger on his back, another claims to have seen him walk directly through a door. And I need to stop talking about this now as I'm getting goosebumps and hearing odd noises in the house lol! :turkey:

    Very, very strange

Yeah, it's kinda frightening when you don't expect it right? Do you get the loud noises in your head as well? Like your auditory system is not fully up and running you just hear static and banging? Happened to me one night freaked me right the hell out... I had this bad bad feeling when I laid down, I can usually tell when I'm about to have a waking dream aka sleep paralysis... sure enough, right when I fell asleep I was jolted back awake, I heard this horrible screaming noise and was unable to move, and when I looked up, my comforter was grabbed and flung off the bed as if by a gust of wind, and there was a girl or something floating over me with long black hair covering her eyes, she was screaming something like "You did this to me!" and my whole field of vision was windswept and distorted kinda like the Otherworld in the Lord of the Rings, that sort of ethereal stuff. I knew what was happening, and I knew I had to wake myself up. When I finally came to, I was underneath the comforter, and felt this very malicious presence still around me... hard to describe, but it was terrifying to say the least. I said a prayer and slowly the feeling left me. Strange stuff.

    Cell service

I'm always on one highway or another I'm a city boy through and through and if I recall correctly as some of you guys had stated I seemed to have no problems with Sprint's coverage, never went under 4 bars. Verizon on the other hand, surprisingly bounces anywhere from 1 to 5 bars in a matter of minutes

I believe he's using RocketDock, or a similar program. It's a real timesaver... you can auto-hide it, and have your icons pop out when you mouse towards the edge of the screen

    Very, very strange

Well I'm glad you guys have a foothold on what I'm talking about, like I said, half of the people you tell will genuinely believe you or have experienced something like that, and the other half look at you like you're a nut

Umm.... here's a pic of my desktops?? lol I change backgrounds quite a bit just whatever mood I'm in Main screen is a 42" LCD TV (awesome for my music production), secondary screen is a 19" flat monitor.. sorry for the crap quality

Really good news to hear... really don't mind breaking my contract with Verizon if it means less headaches in the long run...

    You can't say this isn't weird/interesting.

    Ha good for a laugh

    Cell service

lol... just lol Yep, I checked the coverage maps and they looked pretty good... 99% of the time I'm around SA but in the case I might go to Dallas, Austin, San Marcos, or the coast the coverage looks pretty good there too.

My experiences with Sprint phones haven't been too bad... bout 5 years ago I had one of those PowerVision phones that the screen would flip and turn like an actual video camera, the quality of the recordings was amazing. Loved that thing, I used it for 3 years until it was really beat up and the battery didn't hold a charge anymore (Sprint told me that a new battery was $50 since the phone had been discontinued... so I moved on ) Then I got the UpStage, little bar phone with a screen on each side... got tired of flipping the damn thing back and forth. I've had the Storm for a year now, and it has been absolute hell... the camera would freeze after 30 seconds of recording when I first got it (A known issue with ALL Blackberry Storms, took RIM [parent company of BB] **6** months to issue an update to Verizon for it!) Plus its slow, freezes up quite a bit, and now the touch screen has gotten screwy and only registers half of my input. I feel like I'm taking a gamble buying another Blackberry product but I've read good reviews on it so I'm willing to give it a chance.

    fat mat ?

I definitely second that... I had a major problem with my roof slapping around when the lows hit, put maybe a total of 10sqft Damplifier Pro and added some extra padding (which might help if you have a roof skin that's come loose from the roof support) and it made all the difference in the world. One thing worth mentioning is that you don't need to attain total coverage in order to make a substantial difference... a few well-placed pieces on the largest stretches of bare metal skin should be completely adequate No way the headliner was coming out... lol... this is what I was workin' with

Does it cost money to become a member? If so, I might as well buy the cd off amazon lol. *ahem* Well my pet dragon mentioned something about a Pirate Bay, but SWIM knows nothing of such things
