    IB3 Lineup

I'm glad to see that the IB3 subs have finally been added to the site. I love that 30mm x-max. They should really get some air moving. Will there ever be a 10" version available? Three 10's would fit perfectly where I want to install them. I might be able to do three 12's, but the install would be a lot trickier as I only have an opening of 12"x 32", so if I go with three 12's, Ill have to mount a 13"x 38" baffle behind a 12"x 32" opening. How much clearance is required in front of the IB312 at full excursion? I'll need to know how far it will have to be spaced back for clearance at full mechanical excursion before I can determine whether or not I have enough clearance on the back side of the baffle. Thanks.

    IB specific line? Do tell.

Can I get an updated please, I've seen the 15" and 18" IB drivers, but I still haven't heard anything about the 10" and 12" ones yet. Got any info at all? My current setup takes up my whole trunk, and I really want some of that space back, but I don't want to give up my bass.

Just wanna know anything you can tell me about the new IB stuff. Specs? Prices? Availability? thanks

Please don't forget about me. I don't see anything on the site yet about the IB stuff. Thanks.

    IB specific line? Do tell.

Cool, I will be anxiously awaiting your next post. Quick question, I have just enough room to do three 10"'s, two 12"'s, or I could even fit one 12" and two 10"'s in the space available. What do you think would work best? Obviously two 10"'s and one 12" would have the most possible cone area, but will I run into problems using different size subs in the same IB setup? Thanks. BTW the install will be behind the rear seats (which can be folded down) in my '01 Mustang.

I just caught wind that there is an IB specific line coming out. Will there be a 10" version available? Got any x-max or power handling numbers yet? I would just love to do three 10's IB so I could regain the use of my trunk. Thanks for any info.

    These are rather neat

I don't know squat about T/S numbers, does anyone know if these things would work in an IB installation? Thanks. I'm referring to the 8x12 in the op.

    Three 10's vs one 12"

I was thinking about putting three 10" subs in my '91 Vette, so I posted an earlier thread asking for suggestions and a few people suggested that I run just one 12" sub instead. Personally, I think three 10's would fit nicely, sound better and get louder than just one 12, but I'd like to know what everyone else thinks about it. The maximum dimentions I have to work with are 34" x 12 1/2" x 18". Thanks for any input.

    recommend some 10" subs

I wander if that .45 cu.ft. vented recommendation is a misprint, cuz usually most subs require more airspace in a vented box than they do in a sealed box. Anyway if that .45 is correct, then I could probably build a good ported box for three of them that would still fit the space I have. By the way, my max dimentions are 34" wide by 12 1/2" tall by 18" deep. I want to mount the subs to the front, and the back of the box will be against the back of the cargo area, and the sides will be mostly obstructed too, so any port(s) would have to fire out of the top, cuz there will only be about an inch or so around each sub, so the face board probably won't have enough area for front firing port(s). As for the single 12" suggestions, I'm gonna post a new thread on that subject, so please just keep this thread on the subject of 10 inch subs. Thanks for all the input so far everyone.

    recommend some 10" subs

Yea I've been looking pretty hard at the IXL's - I read that they have good sq and Mark recommends only .5 cu.ft. sealed, so that small box would leave me plenty of extra room. I've checked out those Icons too and they seem like some good subs too, they recommend .85 sealed, so the box would have to be a little bigger, but it would still fit. Do you guys think there would be much difference between the the IXL's and the Icons in a sealed setup?

    recommend some 10" subs

I'm thinkin I'd like to keep the cost of the subs down to a grand or less for the trio, and I would like to power them all with a sundown 3000d or something equivalent. I have a 200 amp ho alt, and a 1000 cca duralast gold starting batt and I have a stinger spv70 I could stuff in the back, so if I run some 1/0 wire, I should have enough electrical for it, but I don't want to have to do anything more than that cuz there just isn't enough room for anything else (I was exaggerating with the whole "I don't care if it takes 10,000 watts" thing). I might consider spending a little more than $1k on subs if it would mean a drastic improvement, but if getting one more decibel would cost another grand, than it's not worth it to me. BTW, since space is so limited, I'm probably gonna have to go with a sealed box, cause driver displacement and port volume won't leave much airspace to work with in a ported setup.

    recommend some 10" subs

I'm looking for some really hard core 10" subs for daily ground pounding in my '91 Vette. Three 10" subs in a TOTAL space of 3 cu. ft. or less would fit quite nicely in the space I intend to use. I'm looking for decent sound quality, but I mostly just want subs that will sound the loudest when pushed to reasonable limits. What I mean by reasonable limits, is the maximum output that can be sustained continuously without causing any damage (at least to the sub anyway). I really don't care if it takes 10 watts or 10,000 watts to get that max output, I just wanna know which ones will have the most output in this situation. Thanks for any advice.

    RE Audio

I am currently running four RE SR12's in my '01 mustang with only .7 cu.ft. sealed for each sub, and I can tell you that I am very pleased with their performance. I've tried Rockford fosgate P3's and Kicker Comp VR's, and in my opinion they don't compare. I gave $500 shipped for all four of my SR's from a dealer that sells on eBay, and I think they were worth every penny, but who knows, maybe that 500 smackers could have got me something even better, but either way, I still think RE makes some good quality stuff that will stand up to a lot more abuse than they are rated for.

    Hello

Hello everyone. I'm already on CA and ROE as "boomstang", but now I'm getting ready to do something with my '91 Corvette, so I figured I'd go with the name I use on some Corvette forums. Anyway, I was just checking out some of the new products on SSA, and decided to join the forum while I was here.
