    Baffle is a piece of wood (MDF) that is attatched to the door and creates a firm mounting location for your mid. Better than mounting to the thin plastic or metal itself.

    Your taking on a tall task! Good luck to you on your quest! Eminence and Credence are another option for you to try but I highly doubt they will sell you anything in a single qty!

    Yes you possible could have knocked the ground off. Double check all your wiring, sounds like a bad ground. Make sure it is connected to a good metal spot with no paint.

    Mounting depth will be 6" on the 10" SSD and as far as motor width I would say close to 6-7" in diameter. The Q will be bigger.
