Yes hand built in USA!
-
Pick the one that fits your budget the best. 4.75ft^3 will be on the large side for 1 Sundown Zv.3 15" on that amplifier. But if you keep the gains and volume knob in check you will be ok. Either way you won't be dissapointed in either sub woofer as they are both hand built in the USA and come from 2 great companies!

0.6 - 0.75ft^3 net and tune around 33-38hz

having problems with the zcon 12's...... i think
Kanaworm$ replied to SMpaintball78's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
You need to monitor your voltage at the amp to make sure your electrical is up to par to run that amp at 0.5 ohm. I would recommend at least 1 supplemental battery back by your amplifier. -
2 aq2200's or 2 Bc2000's....
Kanaworm$ replied to SMpaintball78's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Tell him he's on drugs lol. Doesn't like the sound of the Massive If you keep the AQ2200 then get another to strap. If not go big or go home and get an NS-1 -
They vary due to the + - tolerances on parts utilized inside the amplifier.

Do you have an AQ 2200 already? -

Install the Peerless 7's I have, or replace them with Sundown Neo
Kanaworm$ replied to hondakilla98's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
The Sundowns shine in mid bass duty imo. If your looking for some up front bass they are the way to go. In a properly treated door they have amazing mid bass output again imo. I have mine ran as dedicated mid bass. I have heard them along with a pro sound style tweeter in a door application and they definitely get loud and retain good sq. If I were you I would stick with the Peerless since you already own them and see if they do what you want. -
Welcome .... Nice buy on the ICON!

I can see a new SSA GCON in my future. The DCON may go to semi-retirement! -
Wow, that turned out great Mark!

48-52 hz is where I would start. Maybe external aero ports firing back.

So what is the name of this internet brand you speak of?

Wire connectors!
Kanaworm$ replied to Pezzaboi's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
The Sundown accepts 4 gauge inputs. Unless your threads are stripped out you shouldn't have any issues with the wire falling out. -
No, but in reality why do you want to tune so low in a vehicle? Cabin gain tends to add to the lower octaves. Most rap and hip hop style music is recorded around 30-35 hz.

Is My Port To Close To My Rear Hatch?
Kanaworm$ replied to HawkEye's topic in SPL & SQ / Fabrication
I would play around with positioning of the current box to try and find your sweet spot. Also make sure you don't have the woofers wired out of phase. That can cause undesireable results.
