Use some Titebond II or any other good wood glue and coat the screw, should help. Nice score btw!

OldSkool_08 = I was selling and installing back in the early 90's so therefore I am old and all the younger people call me old skool. Made the name up in 2008 so OldSkool _08.

1 BTL will need a minimum of 8 cubic ft internal volume with whatever tuning your looking to get. 128 cubic inches should give you roughly a 40 hz tuning if you wanted to go that high. To figure your port width take your internal volume and divide that by your internal height and that should get you in the ball park. Some recommend rounding to the nearest quarter inch. Try to stay within 10% of recommendation and you should be good to go! Please correct me if im wrong. Been awhile since I calculated boxes. Good luck

All 3 are great subs! I have heard nothing but good things about the Icons...So I would say get the Icons.

My quick math says roughly 32Hz. I am sure somebody here has a better idea. Hope this helps.

This one has my vote as well. Great job on the design. Just my .02 how about if you have the fist coming through a shattered windshield.

Need Tipps on Gain Matching Amps
Kanaworm$ replied to Lord Baccus's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Just did a friends 01' S-10 Blazer. We started at the head unit and found where that started to clip and then set each amp tweaking and adjusting crossover points to find where the sine wave didn't clip. We used the Rockford Fosgate 3Sixty test CD. We used the 0db gain and -5db gain and found a happy medium and went from there. It gave my friend a sense of relief knowing he wouldn't overdrive his speakers... Word of advice, make sure you have a head unit with remote and set it to track repeat while setting and make sure you have closed windows and doors as the tones get very irritating.... Hope this helps. Im sure somebody has more info then I have given. Good luck. -
US Amps AX3200DE vs Sundown Audio 3000
Kanaworm$ replied to bass_4_ever's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Either amp would be a great choice. Sundown has excellent customer service so my choice would be Sundown. Make sure you have the electrical. -
Wow! Nice looking amp with a small footprint!

SSA Icon 10" Test Enclosure (breaks 140db @ 24hz!!)
Kanaworm$ replied to Thumpper's topic in Pound That Sound
Nice!... Is the box universal as far as using different brands of subwoofers? Or was it designed around the Icon specs? Only reason I ask is I have no Icons but have other 10" subs sitting around at home. -

Phoenix Gold new vs old?
Kanaworm$ posted a topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Since im getting back into car audio. How does the new Phoenix Gold amplifiers compare to the older models like the M and ZX series? Reason im asking is it fits my budget plus a local dealer. I was looking at the RSD600.1 or RSD1200.1 to drive a pair of 12" IA Lethal Injection Series. -
I think the new Dr. Crankenstein is being built by Credence. Not sure though. Build looks similar to the new Credence line along with the high price..... http://credencespeakers.com/

Nice! A friend of mine is running the Euros and they are some fine comps. That's the Euro Frame series not familiar with those but still not a bad looking set of comps.

With $400 as your budget you can get a really nice set of comps that will have great SQ and yet get loud. I would have recommend the Oz Audio Matrix 180CS but sadly they have gone out of buisness. But you may be able to find them online somewhere. just my .02 Good luck
