Using bolt as a speaker terminal

The resistance will be inaudible. I wouldn't worry about it.

    Subwoofer Fasteners

I had this happen on my current box and it was irritating. Looking to try the Hurricane nuts on my next box build.

Using bolt as a speaker terminal

Good point! I generally run my wire through the box and seal up inside and out.

    Another n00b question

What if it was a bigger difference, like 2cuft and 5 cuft? lol Im just lookin for the physics? behind this.. I wanna know as much as I can and this site is helping a TON Easiest way to eplain this is to go to http://www.linearteam.dk/default.aspx?pageid=isdonline type in your speakers T/S parameters and look at the graph and compare the frequency curves. If you have to convert metric to inch their is a conversion table also on the site.

Just ran into a box problem...

    Look into doing 2 12" BTL's
  11. Kanaworm$

    Fi BTL 18"

    If you can't fit 1 18" look into 1 15" or 2 12" BTL's

    Another n00b question

Being both boxes are tuned to 35HZ and only .5 ^3 difference. I don't think there would be much of an audible difference.

    Frustrating Day

Where did you buy it from? if it's new and has warranty Sundown will take care of you. email Jacob at [email protected]

    Couple Questions

Probably just gonna stick with the Sundown 4500d, and when you measure the length * width for the port size, what about height? Height x width Lenght will give you your tuning frequencey
  18. 2 ICON 12" would require similar enclosure size as mentioned above and would be very impressive as well.

    Sub combination for Sundown SAZ-2000D

At least somebody feels my pain, I had this same problem for almost a year deciding on my current setup. But Im stuck on these two now since they will require not everly big boxes to get great output, they hit the lows and can almost get them for the same price (the subs on steroids will be a little bit more but maybe worth it). I have messed around with the standard SA-12 and it is definately overbuilt. The motor is just plain menacing!

    Couple Questions

I would stick with a standard ported enclosure to FI specs.

    Sub combination for Sundown SAZ-2000D

I hate decisions like yours! Took me forever to decide on the subs I wanted. Too many great brands in the SSA store.
