You may want to jump up to the BL line for that kind of power. For the SSD - I would get the flatwound coil upgrade Here is the link for the SSD and options....

I would recommend Don and his products at http://www.sounddeadenershowdown.com/cgi-bin/index.cgi. He has done the research and testing to give the best option when it comes to deadening. I have bought and installed the CLD Tiles and Butyl Rope and the results were great. Plus the service is top notch as are the products. -
Happy B-Day! Oh how I wish I could remember my 21st b-day!

Do you own the Q's? BL's might be a better choice for that amplifier.

The dual 2 ohm BTL wired in parallel will work perfect for 1 amp!

Where is the Gopher defense? C'mon Brewster!

12-10 gauge should be more than enough. You can use your extra power cable, might have to trim off a little if it doesn't fit.

I'm not sure I can come up with the words that can describe at how awesome this install is! Absolutely amazing!

If you truly "enjoy SQ more than SPL" then you should spend at least $5000 of the $6k on your front stage. Although I doubt that is truly your goal. I would like to hear that front stage.

Does anyone know of a reliable encolsure calculator?

So then what would I do to ensure the very edges are sealed.. just thought of that. Use the clamps and a lil more glue in the corners? And sounds like a fool proof plan to me. Glue and clamps! Once the glue sets it isn't going anywhere! -
D3100 would be a better battery for your setup!

Wall it and slot port on drivers side!

Depending on your box size it can vary, I like to stay 2" away from the edges to prevent the MDF from splitting (Pre drill) then anywhere from 6-8" apart from there. -
What size and how many woofers are you planning on? Stacked on top of each other like a wall?

Yes and also remember to subtract speaker displacement and any internal bracing. Roger that, so subtract .18cuft(BTL) and would you suggest internal bracing? Ill be running maybe 1900Wrms or a lil more to each.. with 1in MDF and Ill screw it all together and use the sealant around the seams and stuff.. And thanks a lot for the help, very useful With 1" MDF and a slot port you should be fine! I would use a quality wood glue like Titebond and clamps when attaching your panels. Don't over do it on the screws. -
Well I use this site plus some very reliable sources, and that guy uses sources that tell him 86% eff amps suck and lower Hz are used for competitions.. so I think I have a better backing. And Im working on the big3, 2 batts with 0ga all the way, he has stock elec and a 5F cap.. I think Ill win.. but yea, just askin you guys Your light years ahead than your friend by using this forum alone!

Sounds like your a BL listener! Stay within Fi's recommended box specs and you should be loud and still maintain good sound. A little reading below to help in your decision...

Does it smell all the time or just after playing for a long time? Could be various things causing it, but we need more info to help track it down.

Try this... http://www.hometheatershack.com/forums/enclosure-volume-calculator/ -
Yes and no! Too many variables to answer this! It will be install dependent(type of vehichle, electrical upgrades, accuracy of enclosure, proper level matching of Hu to amp, and proper setup of your amplifier.) But with the BTL's and Sundown you should be louder!
