Sundown FTW!

Great review!

You should be ok by going 12.5" OD. will give you some room for the gasket and a little wiggle room.

Look here .... DC Audio - Specifications Search is not that hard!

Thanks for the reply. I am leaning towards the sealed for better SQ. They sound very good in ported as well. I have a review of a 10" DCON under the SSA section if you would like to read it.

As KU40 stated above go with the manufacturer specs. The LI is a great woofer but if you want a sub to handle more power look at going to the DR series.
-
Go with the 1.21ft^3

Welcome .... The DCON is a great woofer and a great choice for your application. Looking at the 2nd link that box would be a great choice when going sealed. Good luck

Imo I would start from scratch and do the math to make sure your putting those BTL's in the proper sized enclosure.

Welcome .... Congrats Team IAK

Lookin' good! Can't wait to see more.

Looks like a little bit of glue/epoxy ran down the pole. I wouldn't worry about it.

Just got my Mach 5 Audio MLI 65 from Jaycee. Speaker was packed so good that I think it could have been run over by a truck and survived! Great communication from a great SSA member!

Enclosure Build for 10 Inch KH501 (1 Cube @ 32 Hz)

I've seen some other box builders do the same thing. Why did you leave a gap and not put the part all the way to the end ? Is it stronger that way? Makes laying the carpet 1209837129083219083120983 times easier.... -
What no kerfs on the crate? Looks like it's ready for the long flight to Africa. Looking forward to the install pics.

Is your power wire still connected to the battery? If so disconnect that, also tape the remote wire as that will have current going to it when the radio is on.

Thumpper from Pound That Sound has done 4 ported. Check out his forum on here! He may be able to tell you what to expect from a sealed alignment. -
Should be no audible difference imo! Go for it!
