Looking good! Keep up the good work!
-
would a piece of drywall work also? Nope! (I meant other as in wood)
-
Piece of wood (mdf) or other and attatch it to your door and mount your speaker to that. Seal around the baffle and all open holes in your door.
-
^^^^ Not the most accurate enclosure design.
-
Nothing out of the ordinary other than it's in the design and desired tuning frequency.
-
Confucius say post pics!
-
Fire away!
-
Had a major falling out with this so called friend and will not be working on it again!
-
My thoughts exactly, that's why I have never used them. I just posted them up as that is what I think the OP is trying to describe.
-
Couldn't tell you! Never used them personally.
-
I use Q-Logics and always make a new mounting ring to attatch from behind to reinforce where the mid mounts and then I add some scrap deadening to help add mass as M5 was stating.
-
They go behind the speaker! Like a small enclosure or dust and water protector. They are made of closed cell foam.
-
To be honest not much at all. Would hardly change a thing.
-
Are you looking for this?
-
Doesn't restrict airflow imo. Just need to account for it's displacement.
-
Wow, box turned out great.
-
Sundown ftw! This needs to be stickied so anybody who has any questions as to why they should buy Sundown!
-
Thanks for all the comments guys, it's really appreciated.
-
Port bracing as the port is 10" wide. Even though the whole box is double baffeled just didn't want to take any chances.
-
Yes they are brass!
-
Email Fi or PM Nick or Scott here on the forum! Might take some time as they are way behind on building subs.
-
Most likely a recone at your expense! Most likely won't be covered under warranty but you never know, Fi is a great company!
-
Says you! All install dependent but the DP and BTL can get crazy loud and still retain quality when designed for a daily type system!
-
Clipped signal on the amp and most likey had the seaker unloading below tuning frequency! Box and port specs?
