AC Shockwave The Xtreme Efficient SPL Subwoofer

Round or slot port?
-
So what was the bad thing about the XXX? It is not an SPL woofer! Build it for the right application and test again. It is a low end monster and sounds great!
-
Shouldn't be a problem running both sets to the bolts. If you cannot get some 8 gauge ring terminals local try eBay.
-
so definitely DON'T do coil to coil? And then do one positive and negative from the coils to the male terminals on my terminal box and then the other set of coils to the bolts on my terminal box? Yes
-
No need for 8 gauge! Step down to 12 gauge and wire it to your terminal.

Gotta love CadillacMatt's avatar!

Happy Easter! Wow that is a big ol' bunny wabbit!
-
35hz or higher will generally yield higher SPL numbers. 33hz - 30hz will be great for daily ground pounding.

Wow, if your new to this and starting out with this big of a system your in a little over your head. Here are a couple of links to read to get you started..... How To: Set your Amplifier Gain - SSA Car Audio Forum THE BIG 3 - SSA Car Audio Forum You definitely need to address your wiring and electrical before you break your new subs and amp! Please ask all the questions you need!

Were gonna when they arrive or else ....

Great products and service! I ordered my CLD Tiles and Butyl Rope last fall and will be going in my new build soon.
-
Imo yes that is why they blew! That amp has a great crossover built in might as well use it.
-
Take a read through this very informative article .... How To: Set your Amplifier Gain - SSA Car Audio Forum Don't want you clipping your amp and burning up the sub.
-
Nvm saw your sig. Looks to be set at full range. What size mid is in the comp set? If your running that amp at least set it to high pass and tweak from there.
-
Welcome ....
-
Yes that is how I had mine setup. Play around with the SSF filter and crosover settings. Play some of your favorite music and crossover as low as you can without audible stress on the midbass.
-
When in high pass mode the SSF filter will not be beneficial as it is a high pass filter itself. But if you want to run midbass you can switch to low pass and then use the SSF to use as a pass band filter.
-
Me too! I put it in my truck and just can't seem to take it out!
-
Nice equipment list and nice start! Bad cuts....that is what a sander is for.....

low notes send amp into protect

If the amp is not 1 ohm stable it's going to say nope no more output for you! Need to turn the bass boost off on the amp. I would avoid the really bass heavy style music until you get the SAZ-1500D back. -
Yes just wire both speakers to the + and - terminals on the amp and make sure your impedance is selected to 2 ohm.
