1/0 and 0 are the same! Just depends on the manufacturer. -

I would assume and hope 1/0 gauge! -
What can be the smoothest method\material inside an enclosure?
Kanaworm$ replied to shizzzon's topic in SPL & SQ / Fabrication
Acrylic is plastic sheeting like i was thinkin about... and like u say, there WILL BE SEAMS :( Plexi would be too heavy. I dont think thickness would need to be 1\4".. i was aiming for 1\8" to keep cost down. Anyways, jumping the seams is tricky. I found some stuff online that is suppose to be super lubricated that sprays out. Maybe i could spray that across the seams, i dont know... Up here in South Dakota Menard's carries 4x8 sheets of acrylic sheeting in 1/8" thickness! Not exactly cheap but would eliminate seams other than the where the sheets meet. -

Nice looking enclosure! Exactly how do you have the woofer wired up? Looks like a positive from one coil and a negative from the other coil to me! -

How about some sort of .25" plastic sheeting or plexiglass. Would be smooth as long as you didn't have seams. -

im looking for a good 2000+ amp, any ideas?

Here is another couple options for you ..... SoundDigital - SD2001-D .: TeamSD :. "The smallest high-power amplifiers in the world. The biggest power density in the world." Or Stetsom - 2K5 E 1 Ohm http://www.stetsom.com.br/eng/DetalhesProduto.aspx?c=8102&cat=172 -
I would highly suggest doing some research on the company and their products before suggesting them. Yes, I know they just changed ownership, but still loads of people were burned, are owed money or had early product failure were lied to. Why anybody would want the headache created by the previous owner is beyond me!

Looks good! I still like to use pencil and paper for mine, but always nice to compare what I get versus others. Very nice job! Thanks for the share!

Looking for a larger sub to replace my two 10's

The Lethal Injection is a great woofer. I have 2 15" and they are very loud and have great sq imo. The are able to go in sealed and ported enclosure's. I would recommend ported as they will have great output while retaining great sq. -

Look into Sundown. DB-R might have some refurbs for sale. There are other amps that make that kind of power. American Bass AudioPipe Digital Designs to name a few. -

Good looking enclosure! -
The new Z v.2 are basically the replacement for the Nightshade v.1 and the new Nightshade v.2 are based off Sundowns "Monster" motor design and will be rated at 2500 watts rms! The new Z v.2 is highly customizable to your needs.

Use the mdf dust and wood glue! I have done this as well and will be one of the strongest bonds along the seams.
-
That is some serious flex on that lil" Geo! Is that with the new ICONS?
-
If your wanting loud look into the new Zv.2 from Sundown, DP from IA or BTL from Fi. Not sure on AA or DC no experience with either. Have to remember though it is all about the install. Proper electrical, correct box alignment, amp setup and vehicle will have a lot to do with numbers as well.
