Normally a subwoofer in it's max enclosure size will be more efficient and will need less power vs 2 subwoofers in a minimum enclosure will require more power and the ability to handle more power. As far as 1 being as loud as 2 is going to be install dependent, vehicle, electrical etc. Basically 1 subwoofer will not be as loud as 2!

Is 8ft^3 before sub, port and bracing displacement?

Now this looks like a great build! Excellent craftmanship on the enclosure.

I never have fused mine, always factory alts, but others do. I would say fuse to the amperage of your alt and or size wire.

I know the prices were MSRP and most times those prices are inflated. I'm not knocking the products whatsoever. I just thought the MSRP was quite high. I will let my ears make the final decision before I buy a product.

Best advice is to go to as many shops as you can and listen to as many speakers as possible.

Thumpper is a tease! J/K! We all know your a busy man moving and getting set up again.

Definately save all receipts! That way you can show all expenses and report them and hopefully write them off on next years taxes. Find a good accountant.

LOL....wow. Pretty salty. Wish their website had (a lot) more info on it. But those would have to be some pretty spectacular pieces of equipment to support those prices, considering they're priced up there with some of the best performing speakers on the planet. That is what I thought as well!

I would troubleshoot all wires and RCA's to make sure everything is hooked up right. Make sure the RCA's are not pinched. Check all speaker connections as well to make sure they didn't come disconnected and shorted. Do you have another amp that you could try to see if it works normal? Is the amp new or used?
