Sufficient electrical system?
Kanaworm$ replied to ShaneSauce's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
It's the higher frequencies that have a tendency to hurt your hearing more than lower. But excessive pressure will not be so good! -
No, no were all good! No foul no harm!

You may want another battery or so, but give it a shot to see how much voltage drop you have if any with said set up. -
Curious as to why need the weight?
-
What? No pics? How dare you post this!

I would go with Denim's advice and go with 2 recones! You will basically have 2 new XCONS then.

Wow those are some great scores! Congrats ....

amp tunning
Kanaworm$ replied to castimar's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I still use my ear for tuning, so start out with the input level with your HU at roughly 3/4 volume, adjust the level to a point where you can hear audible stress on the subwoofer and then back off until you cannot hear it. Set the the "Bass Boost" at 0 and crossover frequency at 80 hz (play around with the tuning to find out what sounds best to your ears.) Good luck Thanks bro Btw an fyi ... This should have been posted in the Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical section. -
To get louder bass your going to have to sacrifice some room in the back to build a properly built ported box imo.

stinger digital voltmeter

Blue remote wire to the HU remote wire and then positive to the fuse block and negative to the ground distribution block is how mine is hooked up. I only have 1 battery. -
Ouch! Take care of her and the family first! Hobbies come last anyways! Good luck with the little one. We all understand!

Welcome ....

Go with the revision but take out the middle divider and keep the (2) 45 degree pieces. Better to run a common chamber as you gain max port area.

Can anyone help me out with a box for 2 15" bl's
Kanaworm$ replied to ccrider540's topic in Fi Technical
We need max dimensions. What's your electrical upgrades, hu and amp? Daily driver style enclosure or flat out SPL "Fart Box"? Take a look at the suggested ported designs recommeded by Fi and go with that for a start. -
thats for ported i should go with 4-5cubes ....
-
May want to email Scott or Nick at Fi and ask them. But I would say between 5-8ft^3

What products you thinking of going with as far as amps and electrical?

Weeeell...changing plans again. Lets just say I need to start buying some 2x4s! Ahh a new garage to build, so you can park the Geo in!

Hooking up two amps to one sub
Kanaworm$ replied to imhungnurnot's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
It can be done! But trying to gain match to seperate amplifiers without strapping or the Maxxlink is going to be tough even with a DMM. You may want to inquire about a recone going with D1 or D4.
