Do active head units have subsonic filters?

Better to buy something with an adjustable SSF filter. FMODS are usually fixed and just not worth it! -
Planet Audio Amplifiers?
Kanaworm$ replied to arorton's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
All good choices above! Sundown, AQ and Crescendo are very well built amps! Planet Audio, I have no experience with! Me being a little biased toward Sundown I would look into the new SAZ-2500D as mentioned above. It is going to be a very nice amp for the money! -
Very nice! I like the layout!

Not a lot of material left on that baffle to attach that monster 21"!

Planet Audio Amplifiers?

Budget? -
External ports are going to be the same length as internal. Only thing your not doing is subtracting the port volume from the internal air space!
-
Most suv's tend to be louder with subs up port back! But both designs look good!
-
Face the port back! Design looks good!

Shit can the RE Box calculator! It does not account for sub or bracing displacement! Better off to do it with paper and pencil!

That amp should be giving you tons of volume! Best bet is to double check the wiring on the woofers to make sure they are not wired out of phase or maybe one of the coils is disconnected.

^^^^^^^this. ill bet money its this or the outputs i have the rca's plugged in to the top left and bottom left inputs im pretty sure thats right correct? also yes as of now i just guessed on the gains. i cant get ahold of an o scope or anything of the sort until monday. but my point is, it should still put out sound lol its not even close to being as loud as my t1500 was on my subs. Yea that is right! Do you have access to a DMM? If so check the impedence of the speakers at the amp to make sure you have a DCR somewhere near 1ohm.

Make sure the RCA's are hooked up to the inputs and not the Slave and Master RCA jacks.

Any way to save a little more? If you could save a bit more you can take a look here at this 18" Subwoofer ... Mach5 audio MJ18-M subwoofer - SSA Car Audio Forum And this amplifier .... Phoenix Gold RSd600.1 (rsd6001) - Monoblock Car Amplifier, Power Amp - Sonic Electronix

The Right Electrical System for your Stetsom

Very informative! Thank You! -
Your "Dealer" friend should be able to tell you when the new woofers will be in stock! The Zv.2 are a killer woofer, if you can hold out a little longer they are worth the wait!
-
Great progress! Keep up the good work!

Sounds like another forum I have been to once or twice!

Welcome .... Pics will be required of the build log!

Might as well maximize your output of that amplifier and wire it to 2 ohm!
-
More than a capable amplifier! Are you wiring it to 4 ohm or 2 ohm?
