Your gaining Sd on the 15" so yes it should be louder as the surface diameter increases. What kind of options would you add to the 15" BTL?
-
Ok I see it in your sig. If your willing to give up the space 2 12" BTL's will have more cone area and twice the motor vs the 1 15" BTL.
-
3" extra as in 15" BTL?
-
thnx! looks like im gonna be using 0.75 but just wondering why not to use the 0.50 if its held together tight ? 17.75" as Bromo said.
-
Thicker and denser. Trust us you will be happier in the long run!

Duran is the Bass Nazi!

Give me your old 12" BTL and buy 2 new ones!
-
17.5" deep then 5"
-
FYI - use the .75" mdf and not the .5"!
-
Add another BTL!
-
Not that bad, it just doesn't account for speaker displacement or any bracing displacement. Funny thing is I get about the same tuning and roughly the same ft^3. Only difference was they have 17.75" port length vs 17.5" so only .25". Bromo has a great tool he created so maybe he will chime in and see what he says.

That is with a 22.75" depth!

We only have MidWestSPL for organized events out here in the middle of nowhere so I don't compete!

LOL ... But I want the secrets too ....

Kind of a waste to post something like this on a public forum to say it's only for certain members! Should of left it to a pm!

An Fi BL 15" requires 3-5ft^3! Just using your dimensions and using 0.75" wood you will need a depth of 22.75" with a port width of 3.5" by 17.5" deep with another 5" long for the L-Shape. That will give you a tuning of 32hz.

Jake will update this when they are ready to be shipped!

.5" and a BL = FAIL imo! The RE Calc does not account for speaker displacement or bracing!

You can actually go smaller when wiring from terminal to terminal. I actually like to wire each + and - to the binding posts themselves.

I feel your Sundown addiction! You just can't buy one!

Go with the SSD! Great overall driver that retains good sq with the potential to get loud! IMO a very underrated subwoofer!

Head Unit???
Kanaworm$ replied to joe_prince's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
It looks like a great head unit but how well does it work with an i pod & cd's? CD sound is great! I hate to say it but I am not much for compressed music, so I never use the IPOD feature.
