Spider assemblies tend to loosen over time. I would not worry unless there is noticable sag on the spider.

So you currently have a 10" Dcon? What amp are you using? the one in your sig? As far as your sig goes, all that power you got going and you don't have a more powerful battery? Is your alternator just that good on your truck? Sig is a little out dated! I will be adding to the electrical as time and money allow. I ran my DCON 10" D4 off my Sundown SAZ-1000D at 600 watts rms. Gain was very conservatively set and never had an issue with it. It was in a 1.33ft^3 ported enclosure tuned to 33hz. I never did run it sealed.

You should fine! Do not use any kind of bass boost on the amp. You will be amazed at the output of these woofers! I have a DCON 10" and it was very impressive in output and sound quality.

Air coming out of places other than port on Cerwin-Vegas.

It's along the plastic speaker terminal housing that is causing the leaks. At least that is what I got from the thread. Silicone would be better since it's plastic. -
The DCON is a great buy. You will want to keep the gain down as these are very efficient drivers on low power. But the added head room would be beneficial later on if you plan on adding another woofer. An option to think about is a single 4 ohm 12" to start and then add another down the road and run the pair on your amp at 2 ohm!

Very nice build! I choice in products is top notch! Keep up the great work!

Box is leaking at the seams most likely. Take out the woofer and run some sealent along the seams and let it cure for a day or so. That should take care of the problem. -
What is that? ....... The LCD Meter is next on the "To Buy List"

I have a Rockford Fosgate T2500.1BD and I have it wired like the first diagram I displayed. Is that an actual 1 ohm load? Yes!

Old news but deserves a bump. Glad to see your friend walked away with only a broken arm!

Another option for Deka http://www.carquest.com/common/downloads/partsBatteriesCQ_NGT.pdf which is a Deka rebadged under the Car Quest name. -
I think BJ is not doing enclosures right now. Last I heard his full time job was taking up all his free time. Contact JBLCamry here on the fourm for details.

SA line so will be rated at 600 watts rms.

Here is a good start if you are interested in designing and building anything other than a standard ported or sealed enclosure. Transmission Line Theory

How did you come up with the tuninig? Box is a little small for a T-Line.

Opinions on amp selection

No not the same as an SAZ-3500D not even close, similar to the SAZ-3000D. If you can up your budget a bit take a look at the B-Stock Sundown Audio is running here on the forum! -
Ideas for your doors or mine? My doors! Going to be adding a flush ring to the doors so it looks flush with the grill attached. Nothing to out of the ordinary going to have him do something evil with the Sundown Logo along the map pocket area. Will see how my finish sanding is and whether the patience holds out for that nice shiny finish!
-
Nice job on the box! I like the layout! You need some 8" in those front doors like mine!

With the key off and out of the ignition does your meter read 0 volts DC?

Why I said to check the terminals is just part of the trouble shooting process I use and I check everything. May want to take the car to any autoparts store and have the battery load tested to make sure the battery isn't the reason.
