Solid 300w 2 chan?
Kanaworm$ replied to dekciw's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Not yet. PASMAG tested the P900.4.....output rated power, flat response, no noise issues, reasonably efficient, decent footprint. And at $200 authorized online (SE is an authorized PPI internet dealer), they seem like a hell of an amp. I think I've pretty well decided they'll be my next amps. I'd love to have two Leviathans but too much $. I'm gonna see if I can find that review. Glad to see Epilson releasing a quality product and not just whoring it out. I love all my old school PPI amps. http://www.pasmag.co...9004-amplifier- Gratzi! Actually very impressive and informative review. -

Another option to look into with that budget is the Sundown Zv.3 or the Incriminator Audio Death Penalty.

Need some suggestions with choosing subs.
Kanaworm$ replied to ChaseBordeaux's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
Not at all familiar with those MTX subs but the Sundown SA-12's in a properly aligned and built enclosure will be impressive. Figure 2ft^3 per driver net and tune somewhere between 33-38hz for a great daily setup. -
With CCA power wire becoming more popular due to cost, it may be benefical to do some research on the brand your buying as there are plenty of companies trying to sell total crap! Check out the pic below from KnuKonceptz and check out the tru differences.

What head units would you like to see in the store?

I don't believe Philips Car Audio is sold in the USA by the looks of it...So that brand is out -
Welcome ....

CCA power wire

LOL .... I searched for that thread to add this one but saw that that was for OFC. -
Use a coarse threaded screw like the one below...

I would do a liitle more research on your choices. There is quite a difference in design between the two models. A pair of DCON 15" on 1-1.2K would be very impressive in output and sq as long as it's in a properly designed and built enclosure.

How big should a port for 15" be?
Kanaworm$ replied to Micah Horton's topic in SPL & SQ / Fabrication
Instead of making a standard slot L- port, you can keep the length by making it a labyrinth port. -
Just browsing my gallery and...

Oh how that brings back memories! Great pics Mark, thanks for the share! -
If you can, port the existing enclosure with a 3" aero port tuned to 38hz. Side fire into the cab corner. You should see a nice increase in output.

Yes, I highlighted that part for you on the above quote! If your looking for higher power handling, the SP4 is your subwoofer of choice!

For 4x8 sheets I cut them down with a straight edge and a circular saw or router like the one below. 10" refers to the saw blade size!

That is a thing of beauty! A monster of an amplfier!

Good gawd another 0.75" of travel.....

Build, test and meter! Rinse and repeat as needed until goal is reached. Need more info like amplifier power, electrical etc. etc.

As Steffan stated it will be a slight delay that will not be noticable. Actually you will be surprised at the gain it creates as the wavelength develops in addition to cabin gain.
