Enclosure and enviornment are far more important. Along that line, driver Q is better indicator than Fs. Overdamped speakers (low Q) will tend to have less low end capabilities than a higher Q sub (hence the reason low Q subs are typically best suited for ported enclosures). Here are a few quotes from Stephen Ponte, formerly of TC sounds: "Fs is NOT a huge determiner of LFE. Qt is. The higher the Q, the lower the woofer will play - always. The more moving mass, the lower the driver will play (relative to Q). Less BL product (relative to Q). Etc etc etc. " "Cms, or compliance usually has VERY little to do with how low a speaker will play. Now, keep in mind, that the lower the Fs of a driver is, the lower the Q is - and remember, a high Q always plays lower. So, a low resonance speaker isn't always good" (note here; the 12" Rl-p's have lower Fs', but they also have a lower Q than the 15's). And here's my favorite one: "There is NO way to look at driver specs, to know how low a driver will play. You can get a good idea by looking at the Q. But, the BIGGEST factor of LFE, is environment. "

Thanks guys!! I plan on also starting a worklog when I start the speaker install. As you may or may not know; I had to ixnay the horn and 10" mid plans because, well....I'm broke, and need the money back in my pocketbook. But, don't fret. Again with the assistance of Dave (audiolife), I have a pretty trick and "old school" 3-way active frontstage planned. And as such, I'll probably wait and show pics of the finished work before I show the work-in-progess pics B) Should be pretty slick when we're all done. Shouldn't be. Only thing that could cause a problem would be the Ensolite. But, my door panels are deep enough that it shouldn't pose a problem at all.

Fs = [6.28(Cms * Md)^1/2]^-1 You can use Mms in that equation for a very close approximation. [Md includes mass of the air] I ran through the calculations myself. All of them seem spot on. Was within +/- .25hz of each one....the difference is due to using Mms rather than Md I presume.

In the original plan, there was supposed to be a 2000w RMS monoblock amp aswell (can't recall the name off hand). But, there was some sort of delay that did not allow him to debute the amp with the others as planned.
