    Need Subwoofer Parts

As the topic states, I need to get my hands on some parts to start building up my pile of motors that I have sitting arround. these things are just going to go to waste otherwise.. all have 3" coils--all from big name woofers so If someone can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. What I need: Baskets, Surrounds, Cones, Coils, Spiders, dustcaps, tensil leads ect... I've got a bunch of identical motors to build and some odd ball's that use the same coil (but have a different motor design) thanks in advance

    hmmm 4/0 ?

im using there 2/0 wire and its very easy to work with. is it more flexible than kicker wire. no. but do you really need it to be that flexible? i dont. great wire with a great price. and its 100% copper. o wow flexible and 100% copper! that is enough for me! i am sold! lol! i don't need it to be TO flexible. maybe enough to bend about 60degrees is enough +the only downfall to the welding cable is that the jacket is VERY soft making it easy to be cut if your not careful with wire placement.. you need to use rubber gromets with the wire to make sure it doesn't get cut where it goes through metal...

a little problem with my subs

The stock chevy units really cut off the bass when you turn up the volume. I tried running the stock one in my suburban... it was only loud at low volumes with the gain way up on the amp.. turn the volume up on the deck and the bass went away... I'm with shizzon.... your specs don't add up... I noticed in your other thread that you said you cut the port to get it further away from the face... how much did you cut off?? so how long is the port now?

4 Kicker CVR 15" Box Build

I've seen eight 12's installed in the manner you're planning..... eight 12's eight amps, sounded horrible.. metered horrible, just horrible.... the gu posted like 132db running EIGHT 12's and close to 4000watts, waste of time and money. that style of install will most likely be hurt by some cancellation issues (granted each install/installer will be different--the guy with the 8-12's didn't have a clue).. you're better off with it in a real wall or stuff it in the trunk if it can fit (I'm gonna guess it won't)

    Looking for subs for truck

I've also got a Massive audio "Plate amp" (like a home theater amp but for the car) it'd be good for 500 watts rms to the MA audio's. I could do subs and amp for 180 shipped... (plate amp has been used for power testing but not for daily use... did 550watts on 13.1v)

    Looking for subs for truck

I've got a nearly new pair of MA Audio HK101F flat truck woofers. they were installed one day and removed--the box that was built set too close to the seat ant they hit. One woofer has a scuff from it hittin on the one song it played. Works great sounds good in 1.5ish cubes ported for the pair... not sure on sealed $100 shipped in USA

Advice for 98 Dodge Ram enclosure

Port/sub placement depends on what you're going for.. if it has the two rear doors the truck will act different than my club cab ("solid extended cab-no doors) box placement changes things... everything you do can change something.. I know how to set my particular truck up for MECA style metering--nothing else... meca style isn't good for sealed dash scores but works decent for daily. as for the box... I'm not familiar with the btl 18, 8 cubes sounds a little large for a single driver but maybe it works for that sub.. tuning is right... 30-35hz will work.... mines tuned to 24 so it gets low but lacks in the 45-55hz range due to a huge power loss caused by the impedence rise--from tuning the box so low..
  20. One of my massive P1500.1's out of my competition truck tested output 1700+ watts at 1 ohm on 13v...
