you can always do the big three with 4 gauge if you can't afford the 1/0 definatly upgrade the 8ga to atleast 4, add an extra batt, even a small kinetic 800 or something similiar would do you much better than a cap. I believe you can pick up a new HC800 for like 110

what Mazda 6 are you looking at? the 6S's are much nicer than the i's. I've got a 6 S-hatch I'll sell ya cheap.. the s-hatch is great for a stereo and gets decent milage... I get 23/28, nice and quick to boot. own mine for 14k prewired with 1/0 and sound deadened I'm buying a 2 door hatch of some sort_no wife and my son is big enough not to use a car seat.. no more 4-door I'm looking at volvo c30's VW GTI or R32, mini cooper(small cargo space really hurt this one)

I have several tape measures... I just don't have the car... he lives a few hours away, doesn't even know what a tape measure is, so no way is he gonna measure it out (not to mention he doesn't speak/understand english very well). He's gonna drive down next saturday and drive back in the same day after it's put in. I've tried to find a local car lot with one but there just aren't any zx2's in my town. I just want to make sure I can fit the box in the trunk... I may just play it safe and make it a little smaller maybe 14x14x32.... and hope it fits fine

I'd sell it but I'm not trying to. It's just sitting and waiting for me to hook it up again. I bought it from as a refurb for 625 I'd sell it for for $565 shipped to the lower 48 states but like I said I'm not really trying to sell it so I'm not real willing to lose a bunch of money on it. I've got a Brand new (never even taken outta the box to look at) pair of 04SX1250.1's that have been beggin to get hooked up I can set you up with a brand new solo X 18 too or a pair... both NIB one's been taken out to show people I've got too many toys layin' around

the amps aren't rated for one ohm use. Mine never got hot, never shut down. Heck at the shows I'd crank it up all the way and walk away from the car for and hour (playing music so people could sit in it)and never had any troubles,. I've personally tested the output over 2600watts at 1 ohm- 60 hz. I never saw a great gain from running one ohm I just wanted to note that it can run the load. I purchased my solo x's with intent of running both zx2500's so I bought dual 1's and when the numbers didn't come up with the second amp I just sold it off to a friend and competed with the one. I'd sugguest that you get the dual 2 ohm coils on your HCCA's, If you ever decide to get another amp I just wanted you to know that the amps will handle the ohm load. oh yeah, I ran the amp for one season (six months) then took it out and boxed it back up and it's sat ever since. currently my car is being run off a 5 channel kicker for my daily.. I didn't compete this season due to high gas prices and lack of local shows

not worth the extra if you're not gonna compete. I ran two on my solo x 10's and only gained .3 db over the single (i also added two more batts). btw... the kicker amp can do a 1 ohm load all day.... I use to street beat with mine running the two solo x's at on ohm... I've dropped mine down to .5 for burps..

Never ran them but everyone seems to have nothing but good to say

good.. I've had too many people on forums argue that underpowering is the primary cause of premature woofer/amp failure......

the single 1500d would run the woofers just fine until you get more power. I realize everyone try's to argue the point that under-powering blows woofers... I won't argue the point. for daily driving I run two 1250rms woofers off just the sub channel of my kicker zx700.5 (roughly 400watts max for the sub channel (I run 5k when I compete but I remove the amps after each show)) I have yet to burn up the amp, woofers or anything for that matter. heck I still do over 140 db at the headrest just running my 5channel.. anyhow, You should still be satisfied with the single 1500 for now, especially if they live up to all the hype I've heard about them.. Then be happy to know that they'll only get louder as you add another 1500 or swap to a 3000

measure out the box, exterior dimensions, thickness of wood, widthxheigthxlength of port and we'll see what it is. I doubt the box is tuned 35, most prefabs are tuned 40-45 going from 35hz to 30 will give you about a 2db gain from 40-30hz if it's tuned at 40hz you'll see about a 4 db gain from 45-30hz big difference *note that this isn't fact, just a rough estimate

your box appears to be (after displacement) 3.5 cubic feet tuned at roughly 40hz (assuming the port doesn't make a 90 with more length) I'd guess the measurements to be 3x16x10 for the port and 32x18x14 for the box (external), the 40ish tuning frequency is the reason you have very little output at the low notes (anything below that frequency could potentially damage your woofer). If there is no 90 with more port length you can always try to add more length to it (you need at least 10 more inches of length to even get to 35 hz, but with more length you lose more volume increasing the need for more length..) BTW the kicker "bass knob" is a gain adjuster, it only allows you to control the gain up to the setting that you have on the amp. So if your gain is set at 50% the knob will adjust it from 1-99% of the 50%. leave the bass boost at zero, turn on the subsonic filter on the amp, don't take the bass on the deck over 0, never use the preset eq settings... You'd enjoy you sub more with a larger/lower tuned box personally for street beating I tune at 30 or lower *you can always measure everything and get exact specs on the box, I'm just guessing the measurements from the pics.

btw the area you have with 2-6" is only 56.5in^2 3-4" is only 37.7in^2

run two 6" about 21" long or four 4" about 21" long (the 6 inchers will give you more surface area) You can buy 6" areos that are 18" long the 18 inch length will change the tuning roughly 2hz and probably will go unnoticed by you. if you're stuck on 3 4inchers go 12" long but I'd reccomend atleast 4 4's or 2 6's
