    system tweak 2 12's

SYSTEM SPECS CAR:1978 chevy caprice - only thing in trunk is audio Subs - 1 alpine type R 12 ; This is an older model speaker with the rounded foam it is 4 ohm DVC i got it cheap and this is what started me on my first build. 2 audiobahn SE david jones i belive ; I got these in a seald box for free from my cousin , 1 is ripped. Head Unit - a kenwood forgot model mp3 and stuff , screen is busted so it does not work - better then stock radio Front stage - Really hurting here -Stock 4x10 in front 6x9 in back , i have some cheapo tweeters a friend gave to me.I think due to limited factory speaker slots if i do anything with this it will be profesianaly( wow it is late i hacked that one bad) installed probly in doors. Amp - Hifonics Brutus 1206D ; Again i was workin with like $200 for a system atm this appeard to be the most bang for the buck at $120 Electric - Done some research on Big 3 , was thinking of doing this later today ( sunday ) 4awg amp kit came with a cap.Left the cap off for awhile was unsure how to hook it up.My head lights were dimming at night so i hooked it up and all is well now. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Question and some History of install History - When i first installed my Type R it was wired to 2 ohm in the seald box it came in , it sounded ok but then i inherited the 2 audiobahns. These speakers do not look as good as the type R they are allot lighter and just do not look as " BEEFY " to me.I removed the one blown audiobahn and put my type R in the box next to it.I was hesitant to do so as i heard mixing subs was no good , but i decided to try it anyway sence i had them.I was un able to wire them down to 1 ohm because the box is seald and seperate chambers .So as of right now i have 2 subs running at 2 ohms for 900 watts output.I am not sure if that ends up being 450 a speaker or 900 to both( maybe they arnt putting out exactly what amp says so i will just call it 750 rms ).I am still not happy with the SPL output of my subs i would like to be able to feel it in my chest as a starting goal i know it is with in my reach at this time. Question's - I now have about $400 to spend on upgrades to my sounds , i know this may not be the best idea ( this is not what i intended to do at first but front end seems like a big job tot ackle at this time) but i am choosing to ignore front end at this time.Insted i want more BOOM.These are my options at this point i would like anyone who feels the need to try to guide me down the right path. What should i do ?( just lookin to boom right now) 1. Go back to just the single type R but build a nice new ported box. 2. Buy one more type R so i can run down to 1 ohm and build a ported box for 2. 3. Sell or trade type R my 4 ohm dvc for a 2ohm dvc and make a ported box for it. 4. Repaire the 2nd audiobahn and run all three. 5. Buy a cheaper 15 inch sub ( kicker cvr ) , build a ported box and maybe get another brutus and strap them. 6. Buy a good 12 inch sub , i have been looking at the sound splinter rlp-12 , the 12 flatlyne series from IA ,Nightshade 12 , SSa icon 12. 7. i would like to try to squeeze in some sound deadener to. As i stated all ideas are welcome , again i am just looking for some boom.Just a child hood thing i guess , my goals are low just want to feel it in my chest for now anayways... Side notes - I have this stupid idea in my head that not being able to fold down the back seats or have them in the cabin with me is whats holding me back.IE: my set up in a truck or a firebird would sound 10x better , maybe i am wrong. SEBASTO "What are you on? " apperantly to much caffine and nicotine
