is this idea intended to keep a constant aprox. 14.4 volts to the amp? i think if you did that with a amp decent enough to push anything at all you would fry your alts power reg./diode bridge. just run a second batt. and get a h/o alt. with an external adjustable voltage reg.

i got a pos pioneer gm-5300t 2ch amp for my gfs car as a temp. amp while my mtx 7801 she was using is being repaired, when i got the pioneer one of the speaker output terminals was messed up and it keeps blowing fuses after playing it for a while, so i opened it up and removed the speaker terminals and soldiered 16ga wire to the board (the way all amps should be imo) and i bypassed the fuseing by soldiering a piece of 12ga wire across all the soldier points on the board for the fuses and i am going to run an 80amp external fuse, anyways i noticed a switch on the board that said bfc on the bottom and spl on the top and it was switched to bfc im curious to what this is and if it would be any advantage to flip it the the spl side? i read in the manual and it said that , if you hear a beat while listining to an AM broadcast to flip it with a small screwdriver. anyone know?

my buddie has a newer jetta gli 1.8t with a t3/t4 swap those lil vw's get pretty crazy lol Yeah I run a VW club here in the UK and some of the guys are running mk2's with 1.8t turbo lumps, VR6's, even got a couple of Polo G40's (1.3 Supercharged) Get's quite fun on the drag strip kool kool, im in the states and all he talks about is the damn bora's and i forget the other one that they on have overseas, i know forge (vw performance company im sure u have heard of) spent a crazy amount to have 1 imported

in my gf's elantra i have it sub up port back and i took out the factory 6x9's and cut out a section of sheet metal in the rear deck and with two 10" jbl power series on a single hifonics 1606bxi she got a 149.9 sealed up at the dash on the ac with the seats up.
