andrew and the rest of their team were outlaw usaci style.. on the floor board with either/and/or windows down. crx was on the floor sealed up
-
He did have a very nice setup and was pretty loud but , but i wouldnt say he destroyed his competition since he was the only one in his class...lol Wasnt Cody the only one that had more then one in their class? Im not sure. Team Border hoppers crx with 1 dd m3 and 6 rd hw 12's hit a 157.5 with 2 kinetik 2400's sealed up... only one in his class too. different class then andrew but right up there with him and all that power. Neways congrats to u guys. Heres some nice pics of andrews truck and the crx

Got a HO alt, 1 extra battery, still dimming

Im sure it was wrong. look at your factory fuse box, it has fuse for the alt in it. why would aftermarket alts be any different? My stock alt to batt didn't have a fuse, and my 1/0 gauge run doesn't either. same here -
i wouldnt go over 18v.

I have an ea alternator with an external voltage regulator. 12v under the hood and 16v 8400 in the rear. When i turn the vehicle on and adjust the regulator charge at 14.4 volts under the hood, the rear is charging at 21+volts. so, ill adjust the rear batt to charge at 18-19v and the 12v batt under the hood is charging at 12.4. Why? Could this be because the batcap 8400 hasnt been charged in several month and the 12v battery under the hood is at proper charge btw i do have a system setup to run a 12v and 16v....like a step down does this makes sense? lol

what amp r u running
-
and 2 would be better
-
yea thats how i fixed that issue now i need to fix the other couple of 40.1

Not many alternators out there (especially for what looks like a fullsize chevy), put out full voltage at idle. It's very common for the voltage to be reduced while at idle; most alternators put out the most voltage above 1000rpm. Maybe I'm confusing this with amps though...not sure, it's late. no u are right but.... why is the the 16v battery charging at 18v while the front is at 12v all at idle and all on the same alty
-
switching the pos on the regulator to 16v worked. but im still having issues with the battery under the hood charging at 12.4-12.6 at idle and its at 13.4 at 1500rpm
-
does the pos side of the external voltage regulator need to be 16v or 12v? its on the 12v now cause thats b4 i installed the 8400. i think it does, might be be the prob. nebody verify?
-
found something that i thought would fix it.... its better but not completely fix at idle 500-600rpm front battery batcap 8400 at 1500rpm front battery 14.4 batcap 8400 20.4 now if it was a pulley problem and i fix it, the batcap 16v would also see the difff and wouldnt fix the problem. it would make it worse

it does the same as a step down.

I know the sax-100.4 can handle 10-16v but what about a lil above that. lets say from 17-18v. Im trying to run my whole system all on 16v eliminating the extra 1/0 wire running from under the hood and adding to the 16v charging system. thanx in advance

it was a used amp from another member of a board Might have a solder joint issue on the crossover sub-card. DB-R can fix this pretty quickly. Thanx for your quick reponse. I believe this is one of the reasons everyone talks so highly of sundown..... Great Customer Sevice!!! I called db-r about another amp and told me they can get to it in dec lol

i have 2 sets of hsk165's... how would it be my speakers neways? i swapped out amps and bam. this amp has it and the other dont. this is for a comp vehicle so everything is done properly..... and no its not on my 16v setup

Nice Opti 2500 by the way. The '96 series built by Lanzar were some of my favorite amps in the mid 90's. I still have a 2500, a 4150 and a 6200. thanx. I love their old stuff another question: I received my sax-100.4 and turned it on only to notice engine noise coming out of channels 3 & 4. Some other ppl told me they had the same problem. Is there a fix for this without sending it in? I did a search and didnt find nething thanx

just did a lil research common sense and on the saz-3000d. it says Operating Voltage : DC 10V~18V and on the 100.4 it say Operating Voltage : DC 10V~16V. so im assuming my answer is a no

I understand that but on the manual it say 10-16v. I just dont want to burn up. Thanx

They do look good!!! I built a box for my 8 in the middle console downfiring. Had to do some cuttin but nothing major. I sure yours probably wont fit since you have 2
