    1 12" Fi Q sealed box dimensions

I realize a cubed box is the worse hence why i used it as my example... on the other end of the spectrum if i followed the golden ratio i would end up 8D 23H 14W(rounded for ease) but with a mounting depth of 7" is 8 enough? Or should i go wedge? and if so how deep off the top? Also reinfocements... are they needed ? Thanks

How was the question i asked lame ?(maybe the way i asked it but i was half in the bag lol) There are many different builds to get the same displacement and i plainly asked if anyone had any suggestions. chit back in the day solobaric were HIGHLY recommended to be a very specific size wedge enclosure for optimal sound. Also these subs pound pretty hard so theres reinforcement etc to also take into effect. Hence again why i was looking for design suggestions. I mean i could go 13.65x13.65x13.65 and get 1.47 inside measurements of course which would be pretty close to the 1.3 recommended + the .16 of the sub but would it be optimal? That is what im wondering. Also plain and simple you were being a smart ass ... look at the first line of your msg and tell me how you werent coming off like a dick? It's okay though i understand.... i wasnt very clear that i was quoting manufactor specs and you interprupted it as i was just pulling numbers out of my ass and hadnt even bothered looking. I searched the forums here and there website and didnt find any topics about 12"q sealed enclosures as everyone goes ported to wake up the neighbours and im going sealed cause its best for metal music. Also i wasnt very clear in my original post so again i understand why you came off like you did so lets just leave it at that?... So again any design suggestions ? I have plenty of room so dimensions arent an issue i am just looking for optimal design with reinforecements if needed. Like should i double plate the front ? brace corners etc etc ... i dont do chit half assed and dont want the box to blow out down the road.

How so? I love when people try and be a smart ass and end up looking just like an ass instead. I quoted the recommended box size from nick in a post on this forum so i obviously looked around. The one thing i did miss on the website was the fact that it did list the displacement of the sub so i can figure out what i need with that seeing as the recommended box size was AFTER displacements and i had no idea how deep the sub was and its displacement.
  4. Im wondering if anyone has some suggestions .. i know in the thread it mentions (after all displacements for those wondering). (I personally think that 1.2-1.3 cubic feet is optimal imo) but thats after displacements and i have no idea of the subs guts size. i am awaiting delivery of my sub so wanted to have the box ready. Thanks in advance
