Now you are taking this way too far. This is no place for immature talk like that. :banhim: :banhim: :banhim: :banhim: I wouldn't lose any pucking sleep if I did get banned. So far this forum has done nothing for me but waste my time and get me pissed off. I have even got PM's about how the people here think they're all that and won't share any useful info unless they're having a good day and you rub their balls the right way.... This is not directed at the few people that did have some helpful things to say.......and I thank you for that. And Chad....just get lost. I'd like to be able to learn some useful information here but you seem to but in and make everyone forget what the topic was about in the first place.

There is a difference between asking a question where you just don't know the answer to, and asking a question where the answer is right in front of your face but you choose to not accept it so you ask it again and again hoping that someone will tell you what you want to hear. It's alright that people ask these kind of questions. Thats how people learn. But then when he didn't hear what he wanted to hear he got aggressive with me and told me to "fuk off". That's not how you get people to help you. I don't want help from YOU. You still have your attitude going. So feel free to leave this thread and not post here or in any of my posts anymore. Lol. I didn't tell you what you wanted to hear so you are all upset. It's ok though. But I'll say this though. You will have one heck of a learning experience. Good luck and hopefully the problems you do have won't cost a fortune. Be careful and good luck. OK so you have to keep this chit going? You act like your 16 or 17 years old. I bet you are. And I bet your mommy bought your car and all your amps and subs too. Go suck on her tit some more and see what else you can get. I was willing to not talk to you anymore but fudge no you gotta come back for more.

Thank you! This is how people are on the forums that I am used to. I guess I'm not used to the people that sit there with an attitude like ''gee I already know this...why should I take the time to explain it to this idiot.'' And sometimes the info/specs that a manufacturer give do not work all that well in the real world....THAT is why I was asking if MY specs were acceptable. Does this make sense to anybody or am I a complete fudgeing idiot with no common sense? Hope there are some more decent people on here............................................

ok man......nobody said ''as long as if it's in spec its fine'' that would have been all I needed to hear............. all I heard was just to build it ''safe for the woofer'' WTF. How was I supposed to know? I can't read fuking minds......I've never had a subwoofer like this...... So you get some respect and fuk off.....u seem like that type of person that thinks they're 'all that' too......and I can't fuking stand that.

OK.......I already knew that......I was asking if the tuning frequency and size of the box would be safe for the woofer.................... Well the tuning frequency also decides what sound you want. If you want to hit the whole spectrum then tune low. But if you want the few extra dB's then tune a little higher. But just go with the recommended tuning for the BL's. I know its on the Fi website. All of the specifications are there too. Go with the recommended and then play around later. I KNOW... I'm not a fudgeing idiot. Dude all I'm asking is if the box I want to build is what you guys call ''safe'' I already said the box I was planning would be 6 cubes tuned at 32hz.... Am I fudgeing trippin or something???

And yes, it does. 80% of what that sub/amp combo can do without clipping means something to me...............

And what does the ''12-16 square inches of port area per cubic foot'' mean?

Thanks for the responses and I apologize for asking stupid questions. But if I don't ask then I won't learn... Sooooo.....when you guys talk about ''the right box'' is there something special that I need to know? Or does this just mean the correct 5-10 cubic feet and the right tuning frequency? When I build the box I was going to make it 6 cubic feet after braces tuned to 32hz. Is the a good box for safety of the woofer mechanically and thermally? And by 'correct gains' do mean to just keep it from clipping? Someone clue me in please... And my definition of loud is about 80% of capable output. Sorry for not making that more clear.

It would be used daily for music, no comps/burps. So playing it fairly loud for, lets say, 30 minutes straight would likely cause failure with that amp on a BL? What about a BTL? Is the T2000 enough for one of those? I have seen quite a few people run 2500-4000 RMS to each BTL....

Is it safe to run a single fully loaded 18'' BL on a Rockford T2000 @ 1ohm?
