About 2" sounds right, but try to get as much as possible the box i heard wasnt close to the top

SUNDOWN FTW well in my opinion EDIT- sundown seems to be most popular and are very clean power, there also under rated and seem to have good customer service here on SSA -
way to go from kicker to sundown and that does look nice
