12" Alpine Type R's

absolutely, i have two amps refurbished by chris, they come with a warranty (the sundowns for a whole year!), you also cannot beat the customer service and pricing he provides. many others on this forum will vouch for that. that amp was designed by stephen mantz too, i have a 2x100w us acoustics amp he designed and it is a tank! -
nothing like buying supermarket holiday sale liquor gift sets for yourself to stay warm

SS PCX 1500d, SS TRX 1500D, or RF 1500bd

db-r out of sundown saz 1500.. thats what I really want but i can't find a refurbed one i had to wait for one to become available, it was worth the wait. just relax and -
you could try working with Thumpper or bjfish, either of them can work with you to design the enclosure you want. i don't think it costs much more than ten dollars and you can have your box professionally designed, or built if you like. http://fishercustoms.com/ http://www.poundthatsound.com/

i'm not sure if you guys are into fitness/diet, but if you are you gotta try coach's oats. such a good nutritional value to cost ratio as far as food goes. i throw down tons of this stuff in the a.m. to power me through my workouts and it doesn't cost a thing. http://www.coachsoats.com/

dual 2 cooling daily i don't see why you would need anything else. universal if you might want to change coil impedance down the road. the double baffle will stop that best from tearing the box apart. i just don't think you can compare your experience with the type-r and this sub you're getting i have a resonant engineering SX 15. i blew it pretty easily with my saz1500, sent it to scott @ fi and he added the cooling, flatwind leads and put stiffer spider pack in. my woofer was not the same when i got it back, i can't depress the cone at all even if i push hard on it, and the sx is supposed to be comparable to the bl. i can only imagine what kind of monster a btl is...more power handling and more efficiency means more sound all around :bigclap: edit: actually the reason i was so involved in this topic is because we pretty much have the same install. i looked at the btl and bl when i bought my woofer. i chose to go for the sx because it was $270, i wish i had just gotten a btl because after having to send it to fi for power upgrading and repair it cost the same as a fully loaded btl, but without the motor strength or efficiency. it came back from fi twice the woofer it was though, that's for sure. i get to live vicariously through your install anyways. by the way, what rifle is that you shoot? i'm 99% positive i'll be buying a ruger m77 stainless/polymer chambered in .308 with my unemployment $$$

sundown sae-1200d or saz-1500d (refurb by db-r for ~$350) also you can get a new us amps md2d for less than $300. you can't beat the support you get from jacob at sundown for the price. -
hehe it's a 1974, the model is a 2002. they came with fuel injection too i believe, the 2002tii. they're sturdy little fellers and there's a lot of options for engine swaps. chit i wonder if you couldn't drop twin cam vtec honda motor in there. i just wonder how you'd get power to the rear wheels
-
they are not easy to find, i found a 93 e3 wagon on e-trader for $5k. it looked really nice and had bout 140k mi on it. yo denim i pm'd you a question about icons
-
The 2002i was a sweet little car. There are still a bunch out there. Not much to them, so not much to break down on them. i'm going to replace my timing belt, master cyl, clutch master cyl, water pump, tie rods, plugs wires dist cap, and do a full misc tuneup on my accord in january when i have the cash. i am definitely bored with it after driving it for 5yr/120k mi. i really like these 2002s and the big bonus is smog exemption, or maybe some midsize german wagon from the early 90's like an e-class mbz or 5 series wagon is in my future...

i just read through the whole thing for the first time it looks really nice, it's obvious a lot of time and work went into this build! keep it up man.

i own an amp that was merely designed by stephen for us acoustics. the thing has been a tank for the past 5 years. i would gladly patronize zed if i had the need for an amp and the opportunity arose.
-
dude i have dreams about doing that but i would be really happy with any engine upgrade. the guy who gave me a ride on track said his was putting out something silly like 100hp but it felt glued to the track in corners. it's pre smog too that one in the picture i found on autotrader today for $5k and it looks pristine, they're all over CA in various condition. such a robust little car, big enough inside for me too.
-
ya that guy is a real stand up guy! he fixed me and mikes amps very fast and it helps that they are located in texas chris really is all about the customer, his prices are unreal too. i got two of his refurbs and he's going to be fixing my zed designed 2 channel when i get the funds together. guts!
-
i want one of these. i rode along in one at willow springs raceway that had a half million miles on it with some suspension upgrades and nice track tires, and was mostly stock otherwise. the old geezer driving was passing all kinds of m3's in the corners but as soon as we hit any straight we would get passed right back. i bet you could stuff a new fuel injected bmw motor in that thing and haul ass.
-
wow i let that top slide there didn't i...
-
ok so that's like the physical limit of a honda still kind of being a honda and going fast. i'm assuming it's a tube chassis? or at least half? i tried to look up what the class that car is running in but it's vague. i mean that's not really a honda anymore is it, and that's definitely not pump gas haha.

watts = amps x volts... so unless you got a 180amp alternator and a couple runs of 1/0 i don't think you're going to get the most out of that amp, or any big amp for that matter. you're definitely going to need a couple sealed batteries to get the most out of this system, and probably a new alternator down the road. i can't even provide my sundown 1500 with enough juice lol.

and this is why i love the ssa forum... :bigclap:
