while i'm ranting about nothing, when and why did all girls decide to start making kissy faces in photos. what the hell is that shat? no one looks good doing it, it just makes them look stupid. a smile would suffice but the female species has decided to ruin every kodak moment for the remainder of human existence by trying to kiss a camera that's 10ft away from them. i feel like silky johnson, hate hate hate hate hate!

edit: can't sleep. i hate injuries, i managed to sprain both my ankles this past week. i've been running the same trails and beach for almost two years now without incident and i managed to roll my bad ankle sunday, and sprain my good ankle yesterday morning before my trip north. goddamn dog chop blocked me while i was looking over my shoulder and i fell on my face in the wet sand. i'm supposed to be hiking tomorrow, biking saturday and rowing with my dad's whaleboat team on the bay sunday morning. doesn't help i forgot my bike shoes 350 miles south either.

now that you have the sub in hand: after all the arguing we did, do you have any doubts that this was the right woofer choice? oh yeah, i am jealous

nothing but good advice in this topic, all of it. Jon, it seems you've got a support structure here at ssa, perhaps you can log your progress on the forum if you need motivation/encouragement.

You're in luck http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/Pr...ProductID=18538 After seeing a couple of AQ2200D's go poof.. I'd shy away from them. Haven't played with the Soundstream personally. +1 I would read Shizzon's threads if you think that's the case.

ahh it's always nice to come up north spend time with my dad, he grilled up some grass fed organic NY steaks for dinner. we're working on a case of Sierra Nevada right now too, then maybe some manhattans or cognac for a nightcap.

so you won't be able to sit or talk for a week huh? j/k

the recommended dimensions are there for a reason, your sub will sound best within those ranges.

yo jon, my weight has fluctuated between 300 and 210 lbs over the last 6 or 7 years. i'm 6'3" and sit at around 245 right now which is relatively healthy for me because i feel i'm in the best athletic condition i've ever been in. diet is probably the single most important factor in burning fat. however, this is not a linear process, you go up and down and so first order is to not get discouraged by what the scale says every week. you may be able to lose 50lbs in 6 months and then it might take another 3 to lose 10 more pounds. so my first piece of advice is to commit to being/eating healthy and stick with it. also, i hate to say it, but if you really want to lose weight easily you should cut alcohol out of your diet. high sugar/carb intake after 8pm (which is when most people drink) is a deal breaker. aside from alcohol abstinance, eating 6 small portion meals a day and tapering your carbohydrate intake is the way to go. try to eat only whole grains when it comes to carbs (whole wheat/whole grain/oats etc), and eat lots of high fiber fresh vegetables and proteins with each meal. a fitness figure model i know has a good rule of thumb for meal portions, eat an open hands worth of vege's (i go with baby spinach and broccoli mostly), a closed fist of protein (boneless skinless chicken breast) and about as much cars as you can fit in the palm of your hand (whole grain brown rice/whole wheat pasta) for each meal. in addition to dropping alcohol, anything with high fructose corn syrup in it should be avoided like the plague (soda, juice, tea, energy drinks, coffee etc). you should drink at least a gallon of water a day at your size (if not two) and i would try to drink 8-10 cups of green tea as well. as far as exercise goes you gotta find something you like because if you hate it you wont do it. i would recommend trying "rowing" on an ergonomic rowing machine (concept II), second for second rowing is the highest wattage output exercise hands down. you cannot beat rowing as a full body exercise, as you will reach vO2 max fastest. stair climbing and eliptical's also work for sweatin' it out. i prefer running, hiking and road biking because i don't want to be cooped up in a gym when i have southern california as my playground. if you lift weights, stick with core/lower body exercises like deadlifts, back squats, lunges etc. the majority of your muscle mass is in your core and lower body, stimulating these muscles will produce more testosterone and endorphins, making you feel better while working more muscles in the time you spend lifting. i pity the gymrat that relies on bench presses and curls for a workout. i've never been skinny, or even thin so i think i can relate to your predicament. you gotta find what works best for you and that is the bottom line. if you have any questions shoot away, this is really a topic that consumes my life, and having a collegiate athlete/coach as a house mate doesn't hurt any questions you have feel free to ask, -sean

how many hours is that? it's kind of funny it's "21" credit hours but credits don't work the same here. They take the coures they're gong to teach you, then assign a numerical value of credit hours to it based on what they need it to be, not on how often the class meets (at least not exactly) is it a quarter system? i know the city college i'm at uses semester units but the university uses quarter units which is something like 1.5 per semester unit.

ya it's almost two hours after sunset and i still have a cotton t-shirt and shorts and flip flops on. went to the beach all morning too :bigclap:

spl and sq are mutually exclusive, you need to elaborate on your goals if you want to get good answers. what is your: budget? space restrictions? vehicle? fabrication experience? music preference? what speakers will you power with these amps? what upgrades does your electrical system have?

we'll check back on that in about 5 or 6 years

which is why i keep my remington 870 behind my bed with 00 buckshot close by while my .357 mag sits in it's lock box. when it comes to protecting myself and my house i'm far more comfortable with a shotgun than trying to load and operate a handgun in the dark or when adrenaline's pumping. the sound of a shotgun slide will scare off 99% of thieves anyways, the other 1% just want to get scraped off the ground by a coroner.

how much shooting experience do you have? you might want to look into a mkIII if you're interested in pistols or a 10/22. shooting 9mm/.40/.45 is an expensive way to learn shooting skills, whereas if you buy a .22, ammo is more than 10 times cheaper. if you spend $250 on a nice used mkIII, i guarantee you will save the amount you paid for the gun in ammo costs within a couple months. then you can go buy your large caliber handgun and have two! oh yeah, if this is for a home defense weapon a .22 wont stop much lol.
