about halfway through the hbo john adams miniseries. i have to admit it gets a little too dramatic for my taste at times.

nice to be back in santa barbara. the weather up north was all screwy, should not be in the 80's in the middle of january. drive wasn't too bad today either, sundays are hit or miss, took about 4 and a half hours.

time to get some sleep. i get to row in the Renegade Bastard (a kick ass whale boat) on the bay tomorrow morning. hopefully it won't be as smoggy, this hot week produced the thickest smog i've ever seen in the sf bay area. i couldn't see the port of oakland from the berkeley hills (bout 5mi away) when normally on a day without fog or clouds i can see the faralon islands out past the golden gate bridge (i'd guess over 20 mi).

when one door closes another opens! i feel you on the economy sucking. i got laid off last spring, before the sh1t really hit the fan, but the severance and unemployment has allowed me to go back to school to finish college so it ain't all that bad for me. good luck with your future endeavors!

i've had a hankering to build something too. i already got my dad Monitor Audio RS6's for his home stereo so no need for speakers but i was thinking about building a dayton titanic mkIII 10" subwoofer to go with his towers because they're lacking a little on the low end.

the HD is dead, it makes a grinding noise. i bought a really nice tablet pc for the price of a new HD and OS for my old laptop so i figure it's not worth trying to bring the machine back to life.

just got an unexpected pre-birthday shopping trip to Amoeba Music in Berkeley. My collection is rebuilding itself a lot faster than i thought it would after my last laptop crapped and the hd died. got another 10-15 albums today, bringing me up around 1500 songs from 0 a few weeks ago.

Yea beacuse this 'is hostory in the making' we only have to go to formation on tuesday morning then we off till afta lunch time. They are saying we might get quized on it too.......Honestly I know its a 1st but personally i could give a fudge less if the pres was man or woman; black or white or even green. As long as they get us out of Iraq, pull our economy out of the pooper and make our country prosperous again. J damn straight!

i agree on the heavier gauge cable, however i would rather go with pure copper. you could perhaps use 2 or even 4 gauge, it's only about a buck a foot for good 4ga at weldingdepot. however, running 1/0 would be nice because if you decided to add more power further down the road you won't end up pulling a second run of cable through your car. http://store.weldingdepot.com/cgi/weldingd...ner_image=.html
