    Welcome to the IHoP

i'm sick of the double standard when it comes to equal treatment for women. if women wonder why they make less money and face prejudices in the working world all they have to do is take a close look at themselves. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/01/28/nyregion...wanted=1&em the sense of self entitlement that oozes out of this generation of females disgusts me. additionally it all stems from los angeles and new york.

buying cd's on amazon is one of my favorite things to do. i bought close to 75 in the last couple months and it hasn't cost me more than around $300.
  3. hit the nail on the head, nothing outperforms the elite or kuro pioneers when it comes to flat panel TV's.

it's like no one in southern california realizes driving is a privelage and not a right. they also fail to realize how dangerous cars really are, they're heavy and metal and can kill people.

    Welcome to the IHoP

wtf! what happened? i was on my morning jog with the dog, we were headed down a street with a lot of apartment buildings that's pretty wide and dead ends at the marsh before the beach. some crazed mexican on his cell phone comes flying out of a side driveway over the sidewalk and would have killed two people had they been 5 steps further across the driveway. meanwhile i'm running in the street with the dog (i don't run on the sidewalk with a 90lb rednose pit because we collectively makeup 340lbs of intimidation and it scares people) and this guy keeps coming towards us even after he sees me. i try to check up my dog and avoid him as he comes between two parked cars straight at us after crossing the sidewalk and he starts shouting at me through his windows as if i'm in his way or some sh1t. i put my hands up in the universal "what's your deal buddy" fashion and turns the car tighter and guns it running into me with the rear window of his station wagon in the process. he then drives 30ft up the road and stops to look back and try yelling at me some more, by this point i've totally lost my composure and my dog is going nuts. i charged his car and he took off. it all happened so fast, and i was still a good 20 minutes from my house. i ran home and tried to file a police report before school with no luck, after school i went straight to the sheriffs department where i sat in the lobby for two hours waiting for a traffic cop, and was then informed there was no ETA for any officer who could take my statements. pretty lame if you ask me.
  16. http://www.rickiesdiscountelectronics.com/...ge-v-13863.html if you're going to buy the tv get the power filter equipment to make the best of your tv picture and any equipment you connect to it...
  17. when you do end up buying a new TV, remember that the size of the TV should be directly related to the viewing distance. you take the 4:3 aspect standard definition picture that the TV displays, multiply it by 3 and you get the optimal viewing distance. if you never watch regular television, or only watch high definition TV and DVD/BD exclusively, make sure you sit at least as far away from the tv as the size of the screen. i'd call this a general rule of thumb, there are exceptions but at least it will give you an idea of what size tv to buy. for example: a 32" tv displays about a 26" 4:3 picture, 26x3 = 78, when watching standard definition on a 32" the optimal viewing distance is ~78" currently i have a 57" which i sit about 14' from, it displays about a 50" 4:3 making it just the right size for my living room.

you can get two BL's for the price of a NS, they aren't really comparable subs. that being said they're both well made subs.
  19. looks like a good unit for the price, you probably won't find a better deal on a name brand 32 incher. you're going to want to sit at least 4 or 5 feet feet away from the thing if you watch standard definition broadcasts but if you are watching hdtv or movies you can practically stick your nose in a 32 without the picture breaking up. sharp does make a good LCD, or at least they did when I got out of consumer electronics a year ago. 1080p would be unnecessary in an LCD that small, unless it is doubling as a computer monitor that you sit right in front of.

so when someone tries to run you over, hits you with his car and then runs off shouldn't the cops care? i wasted half my day trying to file a police report that no one is taking seriously.
