    Welcome to the IHoP

Only watched the news coverage on the race. Quite surprising results it was a really good race, vettel drove a perfect race from pole but there was a lot of passing, spinning and crashing behind him.

the flight/fight mechanism in everyone is strong, i just finished a book on defensive shooting that made an interesting point. even seasoned law enforcement officers who have to discharge their firearm defensively don't remember seeing the sights on their gun. i guess when we are threatened we go into a sort of tunnel vision mode where we cannot break our focus from the most impending danger. there's an acronym for this physiological phenomenon but i cannot remember it right now. i assume you are just more aware of your surroundings than your average person (i am the same way) and so you identify threats easily and your body begins to plot a response automatically.

shoot him dead if i have the opportunity, he's a menace to society and shouldn't be on the street. this is true, iirc the current studies on this type of attack show that someone within 7 yards of you will be on you within 1.5 seconds. that is typically too fast to draw from a concealed location, so shooting a mugger dead is not really an option unless your hand to hand skills are good and you can clear some space and time in order to draw your weapon. also a knife is a VERY dangerous weapon, it takes little to no effort to cause serious injuries with a knife. even a shot or two to center mass takes a couple seconds to immobilize someone, and it takes longer if they're high on some shit. this still gives them enough time to potentially kill you in the 3-5 seconds before they themselves die. i carry the most cutting edge frangible rounds available to citizens for this reason, having your bullet cause catastrophic internal damage without a shoot through is key in this kind of situation because you don't want to kill the 10 year old girl across the street in the ice cream shop when you gotta plug some guy. If I draw and have to shoot a man, the man is going to die. That is the end of the story. shooting someone and not killing them is a legal nightmare! there's my windy opinion

mexicans? Mexicans work harder then we all do......... Some do, some just sit on their asses waiting for the welfare check.... they should mandate community service, drug testing and put an immediate cap on childbearing for anyone who qualifies for wellfare...

Travis' (Tmax) dad said he thought that much better batteries were going to be the next big technology break through. It would be awesome to have electric vehicles... as long as I can keep my gas hog We are working with a few companies that are using motion to make their own energy. No batteries required KERS?

Thoughts on Stella Artois? I had that when I went to Canada for New Years, and I really liked that stuff. stella is a great daytime beer and alternative to your average macro brew. i also like amstel as an alternative light beer for beaching, poolside or just hot days. it tastes like clean dutch water to me.

15" btl on 1870 rms, enough power?

and to the OP, 1870watts is more than enough to power your woofer and destroy most stock electrical systems finally, to the guy swapping from a bl to a btl, if you make sure the btl is an optimal enclosure it will be substantially louder than the bl with the same amp due to the higher efficiency of the btl, enjoy!

x2 maddenkid, it's apparent that you are trying to help but spreading misinformation is a disservice to you and the rest of the members on this forum.

Sorry if I am gonna sound college-ish here but KEGERATOR!!!! and I would add in a seperate small freezer for ice/certain liquor bottles That is a distinct possibility. Would want one for microbrewery beer... I like this idea... definitely kegerator, i've seen some nice one's with drainage at costco or you could make your own! you definitely need a little top loading freezer for ice. how bout a mirror behind the liquor rack?

I guess all those years as a young child at Drum Corps show and rock concerts with my dad has screwed up my hearing. I was enjoying my buddy Canaan's van with 10 DD 2515"s and 10,000 rms..... I sat in there like it was nothing. And my Team mate Bret does a 157+ on music and I ride in there with no problem. "no problem"....time will tell. I mean like........ I can sit there and take it.... I know it's causing problems. O well Is it really worth it though? yeah, tinnitus is no joke. you want your ears permanently ringing?

i would recommend staying away from california, the "protect & serve" idea was lost on southern calif a long time ago. now the sheriffs and highway patrol just lurk around trying to harass and intimidate the citizens here. because there's no real crime where i live, they'd rather sit on campus and write students tickets for not walking their bicycles through crosswalks or talking on the cell and driving than fight real crime. at least college students pay their fines, that's how the police here see it. and if you go to northern california it's pretty lawless, the cops are just trying to survive because they are understaffed and outgunned. if you drive a registered vehicle and you're not carrying an ak47 with you they pretty much leave you alone. if we just legalized, taxed and regulated victimless crime in this country instead of locking everyone up and footing the bill to the taxpayers i think we'd be okay. and, even though it sounds socialist we could go out on a limb and provide that small percentage of people who need help as a result of victimless crimes with services too...
