Necessary Batts for a good reserve.

I would go with 2 250 amp alts if you can and get the powermaster 3400 for under your hood its a huge upgrade from a yellowtop or bluetop battery plus I would rather run all one brand of batteries than mixing them up

    DC LVL 5 10's

Im very intrested in these my teamate has a level 5 15 and I liked it I currently run 2 10 inch crossfire xs spl's and I know what they can do but I wanting to know specs and power handling and max excursion of these lvl 5 10's and what they can handle on a burp as well please pm me with priceing for 2 of these badboys shipped to 47711
  3. Ok first off you definately need a extra battery or 2 if I were you thats the first place I would start because there is no way a single battery is going to be able to keep up with a 400 amp current draw therefore the alternator cannot keep the battery charged if you get a single 3100 that should help a lot but just to make sure you have enough I would put a powermaster battery upfront as well such as a 3400 and that should help now you will still have voltage drop but it shouldnt be nowhere near as much I have a 6000 watt amp and I was running it at 2ohms instead of 1ohms which is half the power so you can say 3000 watts and I have 2 stinger 1700's and 2 stinger 680's and a powermaster 3400 up front and a 250 amp mechman alt and I still see voltage drop.

    Good Component Set & 6x9's????

Hertz deici series 6x9s and Herts energy series componets should be in that price range and they sound very good
  6. if its a daily driver you want to probably stcik with the 250 amp because once you go past that you will lose your output at idle whcih is very important for a daily driver

    One loud Trunk

my bad you have to go to the 2008 season because this year I have to run a 30 amp fuse in that class which is why the scores you saw were so low but if you look at the last show of 2008 you will see that I hit a 150.4 so if you click on the link again then select the 2008 season you will see it

    One loud Trunk

http://www.mecacaraudio.com/memberpoints.a...memberid=317186 how about a link to my record for last year and this year I am limited to a 30 amp fuse in S1 otherwise I could do a higher number than last year if I get a chance I will try to use my regular daily fusing and test for you O by the way my frequency is at 39hz

    One loud Trunk

I have 2 10's and am did a 150.4 at the head last year in MECA out of the trunk of a cavalier and am probably over a 151 this year but am only limited too a single 30 amp fuse and when I switch amps I should be close too a 152 as long as I dont run into power compression

Brushing resin on inside of box

it makes your box more solid and lets the air move more smoothly and helps to not let any air be released through the wood as does making your corners in the box with all 45 degree angles

    what do you guys think

Im going to be running 4 of the new Cadence IA9 HC and Im going to be getting 2 of the upcoming goup 27 batteries from powermaster in the fall along with a D3400 up front and 1 D1200 and 1 D680 in the back and according to powermaster new website on the amount of power each battery can handle the 2 2700 should be able to handle 4000 watts rms a piece as back ups and then the 1200 is 2000 rms I think and the 680 is 1000 rms and the 3400 since its up front should be 2000 watts rms as well and then I have all this on a 250 amp alt from mechman my question is am I figuring this right and will the 4 IA9hc which put out 2400 rms a piece be ok or will I have to be careful I plan on keeping the gians down if I have to except for burps of course and Im basically needing to know if I will have to keep the gains down costantly or if I will be ok to keep them up

    Charging a powermaster

what if you charge it in like 5 increments with a schumaker charger at 20 amps and I think the highest voltage it can get up to on that level was 15.7 or so it wasnt past 15.9 I know that I would have to double check the model number but its a 12 volt charger but its capable of charging 16 volt batts too

Cadence and Crossfire for subs and amps Oz audio, Hertz, and Audison, for sound quality Powermaster for eletrical Audiocontrol for processors and line drivers and JVC Arsenal for Head Units and Stinger or Audison for rca's/powerwire/speakerwire
  16. I think you should just add an extra battery to the back preferably a powermaster D3100 and upgrade your wiring and do the big 3 and you should be good

    Mechman 250A alternator

Ive got a 250 amp mechman as well and Im very pleased so far I have not tested it but my spec sheet that they sent with the alt looked very similar to your results so my best bet is they are very good alts
