Anyone have any experience with grounding a second battery or amplifiers in the back of a 2005+ mustang? I know that I could always run the ground from the front battery to the back, but looking to see if there is a good ground to use in the back.

How many wire runs?

Looks like I will be running two!! Thanks for the help!! -
Plan on running two sundown 1500's with two Odyssey 2150 batteries in the back and one Odyssey 1200 under the hood. Going to keep my factory 130 amp alt to run it. Question is, how many runs of 1/0 should I run from the front battery to the back two? Probably going to just ground to the chassis of the car in the back. Thanks for the help

Chris over at fisher customs is designing me a box for 2 nightshade 12's to go in my mustang. The box will be 3.8 cf total (1.9 cf each sub) with 4" aeroports on the side and subs facing back into the trunk. The box will be tuned to 35hz. This will be used for daily driving using two 1500's. I have seen on other threads where others using the nightshade 12's are using boxes with sizes around 1.5 cf for each sub or just slightly larger. Should I get Chris to trim down the size of the box to get closer to the 1.5 cf per sub? Or, is the 1.9cf more in line for that sub on daily driving? Thanks for the help.

I'm going to get with Chris at Fisher Customs to see what we can do to trim the size just a bit to get us closer to the 1.5. Have you heard two nightshade 12's on just one 1500? Wondering if they would still get loud with just one?

The box will be tuned to 35 hz. And when the amps are strapped, they will see 1 ohm each. Should I get the box size reduced a bit?

Extra Battery Help

Just wanted to make sure that I didn't HAVE to get the HO alt right now. -
Hello, I currently have an odyssey pc 1200 battery to put under the hood of my car and was going to get 2 odyssey pc 2150's to put in the back for the two sundown 1500's. Will my factory alt (130 amps) be ok to power the batteries? Do I need to get an HO alt to go along with the batteries? Thanks for the help...

What are the dimensions on the box? Looks really nice!!

I am new to the forum, and I am very interested in the sundown amps. I have 3 RE SX D2 10 inch subs that I need power for. Which Sundown would work the best to power these subs? They take 1K rms each. Don't know if I should go with 1 1500d or 2 or....? These are not going to be used for competition, just daily driving. Thanks.

If I were to run a 9a78 Deka intimitdator under the hood and a couple of 9a31's in the back, would I need to use an isolator?
-
For two, I was thinking maybe a 1500d or two 1000d's.
-
So Emperor, which amp do you think I should use with the 2 sx d2 subs if I were to use just 2 subs, not three?
-
My factory alt is rated at 130amps. I was looking at some of the Kinetik batteries and batcap.
-
Nah, not really worried about money. Just want to get the what is best for the subs I have. I have been using Orion amps for close to 15 years and have been pretty loyal to their amps. Ready to move on to bigger and better things. What kind of extra batteries do you recommend for the 3000d?
-
If I was only going to run 2 of the subs, would 1 1500d be okay for them?
-
I really want to use Sundown amps in my set up. What I have heard about them is all good. I just do not know which one(s) I need to get to match up the ohms and power correctly. Any help would be appreciated.
