It doesn't have to be pretty, It just has to sound good when the ladies hear you coming down the street!

The first fuse between the batteries is before the wire passes through your firewall, then the second fuse is after the firewall, both within 18" of their respective batteries. Prevents a dead short should you ever get into an accident, or accidentally drill through or pinch through the casing on your wire. Comprende'? Yeah, what this guy said...It does make sense to me!

Something around 4ft^3@30-33Hz should be sufficient if your going ported. Personally I would just do a slot port enclosure. What are your goals? how much space do you have to work with?

Yeah, X2 what ///M5 said. What exactly do you mean by "best"?????????????

Xthunder amps From MTX
akjay907 replied to chrismcdonald12's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Well, I dont have much experience with mtx amps...but the only one I had was a MTX Thunder 81001-D, and I had to do a protection circuit mod to get it to work under a 1 Ohm load. -
Alternator
akjay907 replied to sandsnip3r's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Most cars (especially imports) dont have big alternators like trucks. I think my silverado had a 110 amp Delphi stock. You definately need one. -
Haha that is pretty good! I can feel my throat vibrating at 140 when you talk lol

do bigger batteries put more strain on the alt?

Yeah. get the most out of it, with what you have. do the BIG 3!!!!!! -
The Killer Mike song? It pounds at 28Hz I think, and alternates...I should check what frequencies they are.
-
Wow, thanks Nick! those are sick. I got my Quad Maximus from ThePirateBay.com
-
WinISD won't have actual results, you still have to account for many variables in a car's environment.

Out of those 3...I would definately go for an AA Havoc. I Haven't had much experience with Nightshades, but all of the setups I have heard were amazing. IA Death Penalties are pretty good drivers too, and they're on SALE right now. Perhaps you should look into a SSA Icon as well, they are solid performing drivers that sound pretty damn good too.

Haha I was looking for that song for the longest time, finally found it last week. I wish they played the frequencies longer than 5 seconds sometimes though. I shake the snow off my truck @ 25Hz

At least theres more to learn as a super noob.
-
"Blatt"??? haha what does that mean? Sealed enclosures would be good for those applications, like what Nick19 said too. Ascendant Audio makes quality products. METALLICA is awesome!

Nothing better to wake up to than the sight of Tmax's avatar ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I just like the taillights...the front is going to take some time to get used to it. At least it doesn't look boxy.
