Zapco vs. Arc vs. Zuki vs. US Amps
fredridge replied to abmoore's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I would also tend to agree, especially if this were a typical Zed class a/b amp, like an upgrade to his previous models. Though I think they will be fine, iirc this is a new power supply design and also class D. I would also like to make sure the turn on pop is taken care of. overall probably a safe bet, but nothing worse then getting your install done and finding out that you amp has problems -

probably work itself out in the end, but personally I would hold off on the new Zed stuff until more reviews are in and it is clear the turn on pop is handled -

for what you are looking for I would probably not go czk or Se's.......they are going to be overkill for your application. Depending on how soon you are doing it I would definitely consider Zuki....maybe a small mono (not out yet) and a 4 channel. here you be my choices in your shoes of the brands listed in this thread Sundown, Zapco reference, Zuki -
I will go with 478

Zapco 9.0 vs Sundown 3000d
fredridge replied to mdexxxiv's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I am guessing either one will do what you need very well.... I would be trying to get my amps to match -
only horns I have personally heard have been image dynamics - they have all sounded nice, but the best I have heard is the cd2's in a dodge.....one of the best sounding cars I have ever heard....also had the most realistic drums I had ever heard

Of course it's directional.... its 12v dc - current can only go one way

Article Submitted to 12 Volt News for Publication
fredridge replied to preswallstreet's topic in Sundown Audio
cool, good info to know.... probably the reason I only subscribe to one mag... We have been working to get our article in some major publications. The problem is major publications only cover drifting and import shows. The pure 12 volt mag is a thing of the past. 12 Volt News is a publication that goes out to industry people which is a good things for Sundown because 12 Volt retailers can read about the success of Sundown products and this may peak their interest. -
add more sound deadening to your door..... that should help with the midbass, especially of you don't have any
-
how about a set of horns, those should play plenty low

cool, has anyone picked up the article....I only subscribe to one 12v mag, but if I was reading that I would like a little more background on Sundown..... maybe add an extended version of the article and submit both, letting them choose. -
I say damp pro... though I have never used dynamat extreme I have used regular and based off those experiences choose not to use any of their product, though extreme is supposed to be good. I have recently used a couple of second skin products including the damp pro, spectrum and spectrum sludge... and based off my experiences the only other deadener products I would use are Raamaudio's.......both those companies have great service and great product at good prices.

what a great way to start..... spending good money on accessories can really make an install top notch..... and those are top notch accessories. I know that second skin is awesome..... I think the damp pro is the best stuff I have used...good luck
