***FIRST*** I have a 15" fully loaded btl. the box its in is pretty big its 5 cubes. it has dual ports with sub and ports firing forward. i think the ports together is 80 sq inshes of port. the speaker is centered in the box with the ports on the ends of each side. just curious but would a box of the same size with a single port with sub in center or on the end with both firing forward be louder or the same. my video is posted on you tube and people are telling me it would be louder with a single port then dual. ***SECOND*** i am running mt btl with stock electrical alt, battery , and chitty 4 guage wire. no big 3. i have a ssl soundstorm 4000.1 mono amp. i have heard that chitty amps not only dont push your subs but can actually ruin it cause i think this amp sucks. i know i need a new one. how much of a difference will it make if i were to get all the electrical upgrades alt,big3, and battery's and a new amp. just wondering.

hi there i need some help with a box design. i plan on sealling off the trunk in my civic. i have a fully loaded btl. the box in it pounds now on highs. its a dual ported box not sure if its effecting more or less out put of the sub or not just wondering if a single ported box will be different its tuned at 35hz. i have a little over 5 cubes. i am looking for a single ported design with both the sub and the port firing forward. i plan on also doing competitions with this setup. i just got a new alternator coming and 1/0 guage wire. i am going to get a kinetics 16 volt battery or two depending on if i need it. but what box design would you recommend for spl and bass race.like i said i have room for 5cubes or a little more 34" wide.does anyone have a build log of how to seal a trunk the right way. and also bench results on a soundstorm ssl4000.1 amp i think my sub can handle more so i might be getting a new amp as well.
-
does anyone on the web design anything as of what you are talking about the interchangable ports. yeah i will do some research on the battery's though do you know any good battery's for my setup that would be good for this build. i am putting another btl in there as well but thats down the road.

i have a 15" btl fully loaded. i want to compete in bassrace and maybe just for spl burps wise. i have about 5 cubes to work with. i kind of want the box to move alot of air for shirt tricks and hair tricks. is it possible to get high numbers with the two i want to compete in and still move alot of air like others do with this sub. just curious

http://youtube.com/watch?v=fU3nZ-l4vxg just curious my old setup was a 3.5 cubed box with 36" of port. the port was on the right of the box 2"x18" it was narrow. anyways my sub was in the middle both facing forward. it was loud it got really low and moved alot of air. the link above is my new setup. the lows dont really move alot of air like the old. is it because of having to ports. or is the box design not right. the only difference of the new and the old is the new hits highs very good it hurts your ears very badly. why do some people put there subs on one end of the box with the port at the other does that make it louder. i need help with a better box i think. i want to move alot of air but if it means my dbs will go down i dont know. does anyone have a good box design to get alot of air movement and bass.
